In this series, I finish old, forgotten and slightly broken art kits from my childhood. When I cleaned out my art room ( • Art Room MAKEOVER - Pa... ), I found A LOT of old art kits that I never finished as a kid. Some of the kits are in perfect condition, NEVER OPENED. Some of the kits are broken or have missing pieces. Nonetheless, these kits must be completed. I found a hello kitty rug kit, paint by number, beading kits, rainbow loom, stitching kits, Crayola art kits, Creativity for Kids art kits, and more! In this episode, I try finishing a few more of the art kits!!

ABOUT ME:
Hi, my name is Marissa (AKA Bellamena)! Making videos about art is my favorite thing to do. I'm not a professional artist or anything (I'm actually a Computer Scientist 🤓) , but I have a lot of fun trying to make stuff look cute. I recently had the opportunity to write a book called Draw Your Journal that is available on Amazon. I get so excited every time I upload a new video to UA-cam, and I'm so grateful that I get to make videos and share them with them you.

Somehow it seems oddly appropriate that you finished all of your childhood art kits just before getting married. Best of luck with all your planning! ❤️
My dad painted a set of ocean wave paint by number picture when I was little. It took him quite a while!! 🤗 That set of three paintings was the main set in my parents' house for at least a couple of decades. The biggest one was like 3 ft by 2 ft. They were really cool. I liked your tigers in the jungle!! 🦊 My 35 year old daughter used to be into friendship bracelets. She also used to finger crochet the same length of yarn over and over. Those kits reminded me of that activity. They resemble macrame but much softer. I could see a serpentine shape in it. I think as adults, we may not have the time or patience for some things we did as kids. I love the window art!! 💞😊 You may not like butterflies, but you paint very pretty ones!! 🦋

You've inspired me to create a series called "Second hand craft kits." I loved this idea, but didn't have any old kits. I'm working on a sea creature kit from goodwill and a ... Friendship bracelet kit I found in a box labeled "free" on the corner of my street 🤣

So funny about you with butterflies! I love them especially how they look up close. I never had patience with paint by number although I do flat beadwork. It was fun watching this and you are so talented.
Have you considered buying art kits off clearance racks or at garage sales?
I love your videos.(Not a kid by the way). I also do paint by numbers. Mine are a lot more elaborate and large. Takes ages to complete. I do enjoy the mindless relaxation though. I even did a custom one of a painting of my daughter. It turned out amazing.
Hiii Nicky! Ah thanks! Paint by number is definitely fun for all ages! And don't worry about feeling like a kid! My channel's demographics are actually surprisingly evenly split among kids/teens/adults/parents haha!! (I'm 27 😆). I think arts and crafts can be for any age. Plus, paint by numbers can be pretty complex and SO relaxing haha :)
For the thin yarn you could make paintings with it using glue to hold the yarn in place.
My kiddo says "I love you." She enjoys watching your videos with me.
Ah wow! I love this idea! I've tried embroidery before, but really disliked it lol. So maybe glueing it would be more fun! So happy your kid is enjoying my videos 😄✨️💗

With the friendship bracelets every knot that you do you have to do twice so that you can get it to not snake because if you only knot it once, the yarn is too thin so it will snake. Hope this helps!

I actually like your bracelet. I could never do friendship bracelets even with instructions. i did however do those plastic yarn keychains in either circle or squares. That was similar to a friendship bracelet. I remember doing these type kits when I was bored (before we had the internet ) shocker kids there was a time before we had TikTok and cellphones to play games on and paint by numbers were definitely one way to pass the time on a rainy day when all the Saturday morning cartoons were over with.

Embroidery thread can be used for embroidery. Crazy thought, I know 😜, but it can be lots of fun. You should give it a try, it's sort of like painting fabric with thread. ❤️❤️❤️

the “rays of sunshine” are actually stems from the flowers
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who is afraid of butterflies. Especially since I was physically attacked by butterflies multiple times 😱 I even was trapped in my house by a butterfly swarm that lasted three days during a butterfly migration in 2019.. 😱 people call me crazy for being so afraid too
Use the embroidery yarn for Cross stitch projects. 🤷😊👍the paint by number picture looked great!
