In fact, i found this to be quite humorous and insightful. comedy can come from almost anything, you just have to find the right angle. in my opinion, they did that.

well, the main point of an abridged series is parody. a parody isn't always funny, it's just an alternate telling of an existing story. any comedy found within the parodies is actually a bonus, as opposed to the main point. it's like how long running comedy shows sometimes have episodes about death, break ups, and stuff. not filled with too many laughs, but still well presented as a story. whether this parody was funny or not, i still feel like it has enough merits to warrant being made.
You will see our reaction to it when we watch the actual episode they came from. We like to avoid any spoilers of season 4 and anything we plan to do a reaction for.

If it's not being entertaining then yes it does matter, because expressing that opinion (which I've done on the FIW video too, again without ranting or anything) lets them know that you didn't care for it, and if that opinion is a majority opinion it lets them know what works and what doesn't for their audience, which for people making a series is essential. So yeah, it does matter. Also I don't think this qualifies as getting picky, every series has at least one bad episode.
I think a lot of that just came down to poor choice in parody; there's plenty of stuff to spoof in the fandom that could make for great FIW material but Snowdrop... it just doesn't have enough actually happening to be honest. Also, I shall now commence squeeing because I love you guys and you replied to my comment ^_^.

I was honestly pretty disappointed when this episode descended into mostly being a Snowdrop spoof (FIW not the reaction obviously), considering it really didn't have a lot of comedy value in it and it showed. Great reactions as always though
And my objection is that this failed as that, also Black Comedies still have some comedy in them, they still make you laugh just more at the uncomfortable way than a normal laugh. This really didn't feel like it accomplished that.

That statement is a clear example of how you want the series to be. And your speculation is somewhat confusing and incorrect. You were disappointed, but you explain what a good fan is.
The biggest issue was that it just wasn't funny. Whether you think Snowdrop is something you can parody without falling into bad taste is mostly subjective but since I feel Snowdrop was actually a very bad portrayal of a disability, I'm all for satirising it, it's just that this wasn't that funny.
