I can't believe they took this ride away.It was amazing. :) Glad I got to get on it a bunch of times...it was one of the best things there at six flags
Aftershock is actually Six Flags Great America's Deja Vu, which they took out in 2007 and it opened at Silverwood in 2008. Aftershock is one of the three Deja Vu coasters that opened up in 2001, and this one is the first to reopen somewhere after it got moved in 2007. The third Deja Vu was the one at Six Flags Over Georgia and it is in storage at a park in Brazil.
This was my FAVORITE ride at magic mountain but it was always either broken down or had a huge, slow line because the way it was made, only one coaster could run at a time so the line took forever to move.
While they're both made by the same company, Vekoma of The Netherlands, Boomerang at Knott's Berry Farm is a regular Boomerang model. There are 45 of the exact same coasters all over the world. This, however, is a Giant Inverted Boomerang, and while it has the same ride elements (vertical lift, cobra roll, loop, vertical lift, loop, cobra roll) as the Boomerang, riders are suspended beneath the track, thus on the outside of the loop, for a much more intense ride experience.
You better appreciate it... when I was on Apocalypse the other day and I saw the torn foundations of what used to be Deja-Vu, I felt like a piece of my heart was gone. It was probably bumpy and nauseous, but it was the best coaster ride I've ever had.
I feel lucky to have been on this ride at least once in my life. The ONE time I was @ Six Flags Magic Mountain, Déjà Vu was closed! then reopened during the day!!! (LUCKYYY) It was this one ride that caught my attention on their website when I learned about other theme parks than the one I have in my Province! This one was FREAKING AWESOME!
Ashley Rust There were three clones of Déjà Vu and this particular one was relocated to Six Flags New England, whereas the one that was at Six Flags Great America is now at Silverwood. I can't recall where Over Georgia's clone went.
they could also replace this with a giga coaster and have the que line to be in the old deja vu site and the ride could fit in the area behind apocalypse, or feature a top hat that goes over the sky tower structure. Is it that or if they run out of room, they could by more land to make the park even bigger.
I rode this ride at Six a Flags New England. I had a headache for the rest of the day. God that was a rough experience. Even the regular boomerang was a little less bumpier than this.
The ride stayed on it's broken days when it was in gurnee. i was able to get in one good ride when it did open. i loved the Gs it pulled on the inversions
I go to Six Flags all the time but i just recently went on Deja Vu for the first time on july 2! it seems everytime i went, it wasn't running or the line was too long. but it was AWESOME! i cant believe i never rode it until now!
Still my all time favorite ride. I am still very angry they removed this and moved it somewhere else, and what pisses me off even more is that they haven't even done anything with the space where it used to be. Even the queue is still there, its just all boarded up. -_-
Teck ErZ it’s because of six flags’ extreme heath codes, and if a person was too tall they risk injury so instead of taking millions to adjust the ride, they sold it 😪
I got to ride this ride one time - and it was awesome - however - the only 1 time I got to ride it the ride got stuck on the way back to the station and had to wait 30 minutes for them to get us down.. Was a fun ride none-the-less!!
Did the DejaVu rides slow down some? I remember when six flags over Georgia used to have this clone and I rode it, it seemed way faster and more intense
They had this @ SF Great America back in '01, along with Vertical Velocity...Both rides opened the same year...DV however, was problematic for most of the years it was there, and was taken out in '07...V2 is still there...
I think they removed it because it was to similar to boomerang and instead of basically having two of the same coasters they removed one to a different six flags and named it Goliath
+Joseph Rivetti It was removed most likely because of the Ride Rotation Program. I never rode Deja Vu before. I have actually never rode a boomerang before. :(
Almost all the DejaVu coasters have been taken down. The first one to come down was the one here at Great America in Chicago. I sent a email asking why? Short answer, TOO intense! I would agree. Grown men came off in tears! It was coaster overkill.
I was just at Six Flags New England, and both times I went in the last month there has been something wrong with the ride. It's a great ride, but seems to be prone to breaking down :( When I was on it, I found that the movement in the shoulder restraint while going backwards up the lift is more terrifying than the actual ride. Thank god for the seat belts :D
haha six flags magic mountain sold this ride to six flags New England in Massachusetts i live right near six flags it's 5 minutes away from my house and i always go to six flags and i go on that ride so many times and here the Deja Vu roller coaster is called Goliath:D
This was absolutely the most terrifying coaster I've ever been on.
On my bucket list is to go to six flags with my nieces but I’m not riding this
@@MelB868 The ride's been gone for years now.
Nah but it's gone tho years it's been gone
I can't believe they took this ride away.It was amazing. :) Glad I got to get on it a bunch of times...it was one of the best things there at six flags
U literally couldn’t ride if u were taller than 5”9…
@@lucasfenske I've ridden it many a times, and I'm 5'11.
I agree 💯 percent... I rode this All the time with annual pass back in 2002-2004
This is one of the coolest rides i have been on!! It was great!
I've been on Deja at least 6 times. Every time I went, it was working so I was sad to see them taking it apart. This is one of my favorite rides.

You will be missed. -_- This was my favorite ride.
Hey if you ever feel bad going there remember up north we only had 3 rollercoasters so déjà vu gave us a bit more of an experience
Haleigh Bennett true silverwood would be the most boring park if not for this kind of coaster
Go on Goliath at Six Flags New England, your opinion would change. And this is the same coaster! But this was relocated to new england
This ride looks so fun i haven't been on it before
I miss this ride :(
Same thing with me.
Alejandro Rodriguez me too 😪😪😪
look it up they moved it to Massachusetts its called goliath now with new trains its next to the NBA hall of fame go see it
Knowing it was made by Vekoma, I don't miss it
West coast racers is for sure an improvement
Dear magic mountain,
Thanks for the amazing ride;)
Love, Six flags New England
This was my ALL TIME favorite ride!! I was so mad when I found out it’s gone 😢. That backwards drop was so intense and I love every second of it!
this is now called aftershock in sandpoint idaho and this ride is amazing...thanks for selling it to us!!!!
This ride is at parque warner madrid called stunt fall and is so fucking epic i ride at it like 100 hundred times
This looks so scary. I'll never ride this, but it's really fun to watch!

Was my 2nd favorite ride in the park. Greatly missed
this ride was insane
you have the best off ride footage!!!!
I'll always miss this ride :(
Sierra I never got to ride it, but knowing it was made by Vekoma, I guess it's a good thing.
Miss this ride
Greetings! May I use this footage in a video I'm making about this ride's history? I will give your channel full credit in the video.
Hello! Yes that is fine with me!
So glad they put this in SF New England as Goliath. Such a great thrill ride!
They did. The towers are completely green now and green lights shine on the ride at night. It looks awsome.
That iconic sound! Miss it!
i LOVED this ride. why'd they take it out??
is it pathetic that i still believe six flags will bring them back? .. yes.. i know, i'm in denial :(
u and me both
This ride was relocated to another Six Flags park
***** it's even worse.
It's coming back next year
Marcus Love lie
I loved it when it went backwards
That was the fun part
I rode on this Roller Coaster at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee Illinois. What a time I had
This rollercoaster is now in Silverwoos Idaho its called the Aftershock now. Look up "Aftershock at silverwood" and you will find it.
Ashley Rust There were three clones of Déjà Vu and this particular one was relocated to Six Flags New England, whereas the one that was at Six Flags Great America is now at Silverwood.
I can't recall where Over Georgia's clone went.
loved this ride
I went on this ride only once before the closed it down a few months later. But even though I went on it one time, it was my favorite ride there :(
It was amazing!!
I L💚ved that ride! Why was it removed?
they could also replace this with a giga coaster and have the que line to be in the old

I knew this ride was there as a kid and it tripped me out one year when it was gone 😅
That's the Deja Vu from Six Flags Great America. The one from Six Flags Magic Mountain is at Six Flags New England, renamed as Goliath.
De Ja Vu!! It used to be in Chicago YEARS ago! I miss it :(
I live near Silverwood and I'm going to it soon. Should I go on this ride because i like the thrill rides and things like that.
I rode this ride at Six a Flags New England. I had a headache for the rest of the day. God that was a rough experience. Even the regular boomerang was a little less bumpier than this.
One of the best rides ever!!
Even my heart was pounding by watching it.
this ride De ja v'u was being transferred to england, i rode it twice but it was the best rid in the freakin park, besides tatsu and superman
I miss this ride
The ride stayed on it's broken days when it was in gurnee. i was able to get in one good ride when it did open. i loved the Gs it pulled on the inversions

I never got to go on it since my 1st visit to 6 flags was in 2019. I know for a fact I missed out on this ride. 😔😔😔
You and I both bro
I miss this ride
Did the DejaVu rides slow down some? I remember when six flags over Georgia used to have this clone and I rode it, it seemed way faster and more intense
May I also add that there are only 5 Giant Inverted Boomerang models built, and only four operating?
They had this @ SF Great America back in '01, along with Vertical Velocity...Both rides opened the same year...DV however, was problematic for most of the years it was there, and was taken out in '07...V2 is still there...
They need to bring this ride back
Why did they remove this awesome and thrilling ride !?🤠🍺
dude i miss this ride at six flags.
@silverblue008 yeah, kinda they're both boomerang type coasters. but the one at knott's has a more straight forward name.
I would probably die just watching it, is the chain lift connected 2 the head piece?!?!?!
If they haven't started already, do you know when they are going to start taking out Deja Vu?
yes. I am going to Sixflags in the fall, and i really want to go on it, but i cant so that sucks. does anyone know why they removed it?
AWESOME VIDEO
they need to bring this ride back. I went in green lantern and got stuck. All the while, screaming, BRING BACK DEJA VU!!
I got on it on my GradNite back in 2005 it was fun
Favorite ride when it was at six flags over atl it was way worth driving 4 hours from here Nashville Tennessee to Georgia
basically an inverted boomerang style coaster right?
I’ve just been in this place before!
i dont know. btw i am going to magic mountain in october. i hope you have fun
Masahiro Omoto Played Kirby’s Voice 0:08

First time riding this i was like 9 or 10 and sat in the back. Was so scary but was fun af
GOD BLESS THIS RIDE!
this was my favorite ride at Six Flags. Disappointed to hear they removed it :( I'll miss you deja vu! lol
Is it a painful ride (like the classic Boomerang)?
Agora ela está aqui no Brasil, não consigo ver o tempo que ela está em operação.
Does anyone know why they removed it? Was it just to get it to another six flags park?
Ya it's at Six Flags New England as Goliath now!
Matthew Hodgkins omg i just went to six flags and rode the goliath it was my favorite
***** Right!
what an odd sounding lift . . has it always sounded like that?
@xCOASTERFREAKx they are??? howd you find out?
is this similar to Boomerang at Knotts?
why they shut it down are they gonna make a new one?
you still can. it has an exact copy at silverwood and you can ride this exact track at six flags new england.
This is a great ride :)
Is this the same as Goliath at six flags new England ?
this is the exact same ride as bomerang at knotts berry farm..check it out.. it literally an excact copy
Almost all the DejaVu coasters have been taken down. The first one to come down was the one here at Great America in Chicago. I sent a email asking why? Short answer, TOO intense! I would agree. Grown men came off in tears! It was coaster overkill.
this ride is soo fun omg
when did they move it? i went to six flags once and in the map i saw it
it looks just like the ride in kings island i forget what its call, invertigo maybe. idk
I. Miss. This. Ride❤❤😢😢😢
I was just at Six Flags New England, and both times I went in the last month there has been something wrong with the ride. It's a great ride, but seems to be prone to breaking down :( When I was on it, I found that the movement in the shoulder restraint while going backwards up the lift is more terrifying than the actual ride. Never got to ride it but I have heard a lot of great things about it. To bad it got removed
@nikki91847 You mean the cobra roll?
I wanna ride it. Why'd they take it away?
haha six flags magic mountain sold this ride to six flags New England in Massachusetts i live right near six flags it's 5 minutes away from my house and i always go to six flags and i go on that ride so many times and here the Deja Vu roller coaster is called Goliath:D
@atmobeius so? It is still in England
HANDS DOWN the 2nd best ride in the park. Unfortunately it broke down so much they had to scrap it
I never got to ride to it. It was always down when I would go to SFMM. Such a bummer
They have this at the silverwood theme park in Idaho
Lucero Valencia the Magic Mountain version went to Six Flags New England as Goliath
Never ride this ride -.- why was it taken down at great america ?
Any ideas why this was removed? Cheers
Fully Sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
