Oh man, it's risky watching your videos before bed cause how am I gonna sleep with new creative ideas tinyplaneting my mind. BTW on your recommendation months ago I started using Snapseed and Touch/Retouch with excellent results. Ok, off to bed. Thanks Ben.
Great video. I love snapseed as I do not know how to use photoshop plus I am colorblind. the workflow of snapseed is just awesome. Thank you for this tutorial. All your video tutorials have helped me to try and churn out better content on my instagram page and my youtube channel. A slow climb but am having fun just creating content using my insta360 one x. I still use the misphere which you got me started from your reviews. Keep it up! you are an inspiration to us who are just scratching the surface in creating content on youtube and instagram.
Ben, I just thought I'd say , because of your channel, I've jumped head first into the 36o world, and its BEEEN AWESOME! I am about to purchase your e-book. Question, I know know your a big fan of Snapseed, but have you tried on your Ipad the "Affinity App". I use it for regular photo editing, but haven't seen if it will i can still edit a 360 pano on it and it still maintain its secret 360 meta data afterwards when uploading to Facebook??
Great video Ben, I use Snapseed for all my Tinyplanet photos as well but I have been a bit lazy with it 😴 - thanks for a straightforward easy to follow tutorial, look forward to experimenting - and now I don’t have to upgrade to an iPhone 10!! So you’ve saved me money - for the moment anyway 👍🏼😉🙏
@@BenClaremont Sweet, Thanks Ben! I recently purchased the Insta360 One X, SD Card and Bushman monopod 360 bundle through your amazon affiliate link. Thanks for the great content. Keep up the great work!
Ben Question: Thinking about buying either the DJI Osmo Pocket or the Insta 360, like the the idea of what the 360 gives me, but see so often people walking around with stick out in front all the time. Where as the Osmo can be just clipped on the pocket or ruck sack strap and less obvious. Can the same be done with the insta 360 can you use it in a normal way? Great videos by the way.
@@BenClaremont How do I do it for both eyes evenly? I added it but it shows for one eye and it becomes see through like putting your hand in front of your one eye.
Been using SnapSeed for awhile now. First I do some quick grading in LightRoom (on my Note9) and then take the export from there into Snapseed. You can do basic grading in Snapseed, but i find i prefer to do that in LR. You touched on many of the features I use in Snapseed too. One thing I wish they would add is a preset concept, so we could make our own to speed up our work flow
@@BenClaremont exactly. I do use last edits, but I do lots of different types of shots. Being able to save the settings, give them a name, recall them and apply them (possibly even trying preset after preset), would be awesome. When you do edit of settings, they do a good job of showing you all of the things you turned on and in what order, so I know they could do it. Would be a great feature. Oh dear Lord, but then everyone would start selling their Snapseed Presets, lol SMH
Hi I've been watching your video many times already learning stuff thank you so much for great video I do have a question after I record my first 360 video using insta selfie stick and download it to my mobile phone app. after reviewing my short movie I realized that I have black shade ring around my hand it is the same hand that I'm holding selfie stick and it's about 24 inches big that you can see through something is making dark spot around my hand and I can't figure it out what it is any suggestions. Thank you. Sam I have an update even if I hold the camera in my hand the ring still appear when I review my video that's mean that the camera is producing that dark ring
Ben, because of you I have my first paid gig doing a virtual tour!! thanks! BUT...how do I color correct all those panos at once? Is there an app to do that? free one? THANKS BEN!
I’ve been using Snapseed for years; great features, ad-free, and stable. But I keep my shots more natural (my.360.world) rather than pushing the editing side too far; still, for those who want to, Snapseed is definitely a must-have for any image editor’s toolset. :-)
i wish snapseed have clone stamp like touch retouch, heal tool is sometime hit or miss. but its looks like google have stopped further development of snapseed i haven't received any updates since september 2018 :(
I love Snapseed and I thank you for introducing it to me!! However, I have found that when I edit in it and export, especially my 360 equirectangular photos, it loses so much in file size. I wish it could give options like Retouch with export file size. That has been a disappointment for me so far. What are your thoughts? Can you tell a difference in file size with your 360 exports? Thanks for everything you do in this 360 spherical realm!! :)
Thanks Sarah- honestly I haven’t noticed too much of an issue there. For equirectangular photos I wouldn’t edit them in Snapseed as it will create an obvious seam line. Better to use photoshop or the Theta+ app 👍
Hi Ben, that's incredible to catch up your amazing work. I'm using samsung gear 360 and I want to know how I can convert flat 360 photo into planetary 🙄.... I hope you got it
@@BenClaremont another camera has just caught my attention, the Pilot Era 8K 360 cam 😉 What are your thoughts on this one? ua-cam.com/video/2ittvt9ESuY/v-deo.html
Haven't known before that Snapseed was so awesome but I have a Question is it possible to use 2 layers so you can erase the other one so that you aren't in the photo anymore?
The problem with Snapseed is that it compress a lot the pictures. For basic edition and color correction I prefer Photoshop Express and use only Snapseed to erase unwanted things. Btw, good tutorial as allways :)
I also use Pixel mayor for removing foreign objects, it’s stamp mode is superior to Snapseed heal tool. Also great to remove power lines, people etc. edit. I used an app recommended by Ben, “Retouch” Absolutely amazing at getting rid of unwanted objects. Works with actual 360 photo or one that has been flattened! Excellent for taking yourself out of the photo. Check out my tiny airplane planets at Https://www.instagram.vom/tedsplanet or Facebook TedsPlanet. I was in all those but edited myself out.
@@BenClaremont I mean, be careful with so much filters. You looked at the and like a different person, noot yourself. Don't worry be happy! Creepily happy... 😋
Definitely want to try these things out

The HDR function is very good. I use it all the time.
I use HDR a lot, very effective for shots with clouds. Gives a very dramatic effect!
Learned alot, thanks!
