@@BruteChews Hey! I made it to 26 days. I made the mistake of not taking electrolytes like I should have and I got sick and had to stop. I lost 40 pounds though. I want to start again and maybe do 4 days of water fasting each week and then the other days, do intermittent fasting or juicing. Make sure when you break your fast that you keep your sodium LOW. If you start taking in too much, you can develop edema (body retaining water and salt which can result in you gaining a lot of water weight and experiencing swelling that may not be easy to get rid of) or refeeding syndrome. I am dealing with that now. I’m scared to step on the scale but I have put on so much water weight that I am larger now than I was before I started. So, it feels like I have gained more than 40 lbs of water weight. It’s terrible. I ate a lot of salt when I broke it-salt craving got the best of me.
Once I drop this water weight I will be fine though... @@messiahshow hey, no I did not salivate, it was normal apart from the metallic taste when ketosis kicks in, but it quickly becomes a normal when you are doing extended fasts! We will be fasting as a group come October 3rd, we will meet you there, so please don’t give up ❤️

Did you ever add any seasoning to the steamed veggies. I am afraid I won’t enjoy the veggies as it will be too plain. Also with the yogurt does it matter if it’s flavoured or not ?
Just salt and pepper… I personally enjoy food’s natural flavors.. depending on your weight loss goal, some flavored yogurts are high in sugar, but a quarter a glass even though flavored was ok for me
If you had done a 90 day water fast, would you refeed the same? While you water fasted, did you set a minimum for the amount of water you drank each day? I am currently on day 6 of a 90 day water fast, so I was curious. I haven’t been hungry but I’ve noticed I haven’t been drinking much water 👀

Aww, thank you 😊 The bone broth video is coming right up! I’m not sure about Autophagy, but heard flavor triggers insulin, and there is no Autophagy when insulin is present and high. Lemon/ACV I know they don’t break a fast. ❤️

50 days? Nice, I stopped at 40 days, but I am currently on day 8 of my second. :) Bah, you dont need to ease back that slowly. I only needed like 3 days.
For 50 days, you have to refeed gently for 25.. and then get accustomed to whatever lifestyle you have chosen… and then I guess that’s where you can add the bread but moderately… I could be wrong but that’s what I would do
I am on day 45 and will take missjudy's advice on refeeding slowly. Bone broth seems to be the go to staple for refeeding. Adding other things and when is my concern.
I am taking joint nourishment for my knees, and it has sucralose in it ... Can I keep taking it during fast? It says it has almost no kcal but who knows... I want to keep fasting for 20+ days
@@missjudy9911 I had a jelly before but it probably had sweetener in it .... I looked it up on the internet and it says it maybe will knock me out of ketosis, so I try to go without for the duration , my fast started this midnight :) wish me luck 🤞

How much weight can you expect to gain in the first week of a correct refeed? I was very nauseas and broke my fast, but I refed incorrectly (I introduced whey protein, steamed vegetables, sashimi, and kelp within day 1 or 2). I ended up getting very puffy feeling in my face (but no severe lower-body edema) and gaining ~10lbs in the first 5days. I feel better now and am jumping into another fast to prevent further loss of my progress.

I don’t mean to come off mean but girl , there is no way you fasted 50 days straight. You would be skinny as a rake. Sorry , 50 days with zero food you would be absolutely thin. I’ve done a 3 day water fast and dropped close to 10 lbs … your weight loss would be extremely drastic on a 50 day fast
To start off, I had a lot of weight to lose.. and you should research how fasting works on the body… the first 5-7 lbs you lose is always water weight and waste.. if you lose close to 10 lbs on a 3 day fast, as soon as you eat, you gain it all back… I’m sure you know that for a fact.. so what does that tell you? Because you did not lose a lot of fat, but just water and waste.. The body goes on self preservation mode on a long fast and holds on to whatever it can, so you lose about .5 of a lb daily.. not more than that. I challenge you to go on even a 21 day fast, you will understand “Fasting”

Water or not, the body is deprived of food which gives nutrients, minerals, vitamins so your organs can function and survive and that becomes extremely difficult to do after a certain amount of time. Your body will ALWAYS use its energy reserves (fat) to survive, it doesn’t hold onto the weight, that is total and absolute nonsense. Your before / after picture is not someone who went without food for 50 days … I do see a weight loss but not a 50 day no food weight loss. If our bodies held onto weight it would be incredibly hard to lose weight and fasting is one of the best ways to lose it and you only EVER regain weight if you are eating in excess of what your body requires so that is a huge myth that people fall for. I wouldn’t fast for 50 days because that’s dangerously close to verging on serious starvation and causing problems with my body and let me tell you, you would be damn near skeletal or extremely extremely thin. I’ve gone through many UA-cam videos on fasting and the people who do 3-4 day fast lose a hell of a lot more than the ones who claim 30 plus days …. It’s bare faced lying just for views.

First 3 days are worst so just push through.
Sometimes it’s more of a mental thing than the actual hunger, tell yourself u can make it up to 15 days without the food

Any sweetener would break your fast.. have you looked into MSM crystals as an alternative?

If very careful with refeed, less that 5 lbs and you will be able to maintain your weight loss with mo more weight gain afterwards
