Hope you enjoyed the video... what mixer do you use or what your personal favorite?
We have an nc, find it very good. Here good things about the newrock/redrock mixer to. Just wondering do u put water in ur tanks when they are empty seemed to be fairly thin
gerry6420 Do you put any pig slurry in you tank
NC 3000
Why don’t you lift the slats and put down a gang slat with a proper safety manhole
Great video nice bit smelly stuff 👌👍do you let the animals out before mixing because I'd fumes?
God she sounds very well the are a great tractor one of the best
Nice job Gerry was at slurry for a number of years before I had to retire farming and machine work due to epilepsy and ill health the redrock are a great adgitator but two rules plenty of water in tank and ideally not much slurry out of tank never ideal cause it takes twice as much to get it going and plenty of horses up front you made a great job of the adgitating from a fellow worker in Galway best wishes 👍👍👍
Know said this before but I'm so impressed with how clean and tidy yr farm is.... I watch another Irish farmer on here his farm is a total hazzard lol
Wouldn't be farmer Phil would it?😁
One tip, close the back window when mixing, dont want a cab full of slurry;)
Great video gerry love the channel I remember the first day I seen slurry being agitated it was in May 1993 when I was 17 and my father produces a mask from the cab and says put that on its an added safety thing he says and here I am in 2021 agitating with a mask on it just become a normal act for me it feels weird if I don't use it now so fair play dad instilled a good habit I suppose, look once you know what you at you'll never have an issue but just taught id share my little own ways of agitating, great channel gerry keep em coming, from wicklow
Nice video Gerry. Thanks for that explanation on the mixer, never knew you could direct the blades. Nice that you keep your equipment clean Gerry. 😉👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
Mighty work Gerry it proves not to rob water out of the tanks
Good pump that Gerry 👍 an good practice to wash it down after usin it 💪💪
Hi Gerry for a quick fix you could cut out a section of the gang slat which wud give u four single slats and more room to get ur mixer in
Smart to wash mixer its a nice one to
time to be getting a manhole slat with a corner opening ..........makes life a little easier .......
Great video gery keep up the good work
Great video Gerry👍🏻
Go ahead Gerry !
Nice to see the mixer looking so fresh and like new. In my opinion, cow slurry can eat through galvanizing very quickly indeed. It just depends on the quality of the galvanizing, on a hand scrap the galv is poor and can eat through them in no time. I think galv slurry tankers and solid manure spreaders is pointless because they are seldom cleaned internally. Good video Gerry!
Great video
Great video as always Gerry
Great video gerry just saying though if u r ever doing slurry always have someone with u incase u r someone els falls in and always where a mask
That looks powerful sh't 💪
Nearly grass season lol this winter is flying in the next all the farmers will be cutting silage lol
You're like me. Time's flying.. n ya do know why..???
We're getting old!!!!!🤣
We will have snow atleast for another month in Finland lol 😂
Ah
I see a pair of t bars. Are you lifting those slats by hand ? Thats a disaster waiting to happen. I used to lift singles( with the loader) but i replaced them with a manhole slab
Jesus I'm no safety sally but them single slats
Just spotted that finger mower. Maybe stick it on the ol' DB and use it in the summer. It would make a great vid
You need to get a David brown horse
Probably a silly question from a non farmer here but is it not dangerous to be that close to mixing slurry? Or what is the story with it I'd like to know what's dangerous and what's not thanks
Rash boy, Rev just full didn’t even look 😂
Smelly stuff.
You slotted the mixer in well!
So time for the dumb question... can you slide the block of 4 slats back towards the shed and put the tractor 90° to where you had it to get the mixer in easier?? I know I'm missing something!😂😂
Do you use slurry bugs? I see the froth on top of your unmixed tanks plus your slurry seemed easily mixed for beef slurry. Like the videos 👍
Looks very watery Gerry, did you let the roof water run in or tap water?
If you put the top link in the middle hole of the slurry pump you won’t knock of the pto guard
Witch of the 2 is your favourite the 6930 or the 6420
Excellent video 😊😊👍🏼👍🏼
Do you leave the mixer out side
We have a nc 2500 fine auld yoke gives no trouble
Gerry do you always rev the tractor flat out when agitating or just to 540rpm?
When u didn't close the back window I had a heart attack
Pa Connor 784 why
Sheldon plays Bongos because the agitaor was very close to hitting it when he was taking it out
A/c broken 🤣🤣🤣
I was watching that to. I know mine can hit back window when its opened. Thankfully not the hard way
@@sheldonplaysbongos7655 with that much off a tank open when u turn it on the slurry can fly out and into 2 cab
Do you have a separator?
What I do is blow the stuff to the back and then work your way bac
Is the slurry thick
Personally I'd have left the agitator in the tank and put the pipe down beside it better then a open hole
we have tanks you can mix for days and never mix it fully
Great video
Whats the difference between a 6420 and your 6420S ??? 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤔🤔🤔
Greets from Austria
10HP
Nc 3000
Do you not empty cattle out for fear of the dreaded slurry gas Gerry?
Love the vids Gerry, if u don't mind can u tell me where ur from in Ireland?👍
Robert Armitage Cavan
RyanQuinn 6480 no he’s just out side Dundalk
Gerrys from Cavan
Ri sound
You mustn't have that mixer to long like new
Gerry. Get rid of the single slay lifting and put in a proper gang slay with opening. No point havin all machinery right with the likes of that goin on I the yard. I got rid of all mine - great peace of mind.
Try Bioag DIGESTIT IN UR SLURRY MAGIC STUFF 0878207907 turns slurry into liquid gold
30 mins to agitate a tank? Must have been pure water, I'm gonna try your strategy next time I'm agitating slurry
always have a load of water in the tank when the cattle come in .......makes life a lot easier ......
