E-Rod has been the biggest difference maker!
He isn't a finisher or scorer, but god can he skate. He is digging pucks and checking, and he speeds around and always ends up in the right place.

The 3rd and 4th lines and the new defensemen were the differences between last year and this.
Mikkola, and Larson really were "difference makers". Ekblad just doesn't seem the same. Weeger was a real loss
Honestly, Ekblad makes me nervous everytime he has the puck.
Actually defensively, I think he made some key plays in this series.
Weeger was good for a terrible turnover at critical moments every game. Are we really gonna complain about our D? Cmon...
@@casewojo6186 I have the same feeling but he has calmed down since the Tampa series and Boston. He played much stronger. Almost cost the game in the last minutes but he is playing the big minutes and playing against top lines so bad things will happen. At least he isn't K'andre Miller. Yikes he is a turn over machine.

How Maurice had that team playing at the end of last season, they were almost unstoppable, just the long haul of that campaign wore them down.
I remember watching them in the first few games of this season, and they were playing exactly how they finished last year! Heavy, tough, relentless. It was like playing a Game 7 of a finals series every night! I thought there was NO WAY a team could keep that up for 82 games plus the playoffs.......and yet, here they are, and hungrier. I don't think there is any team in this league who can beat them 4 out of 7. Oilers may win one, two at best.

I want Florida to win, but unfortunately it’s a fact that the Oilers are the superior team. They’re going to win the Cup. Unless Florida plays the best hockey of their lives and shuts down the Oilers offence big time, it’s already done.

I’m not sure if Edmonton or Dallas can beat the Panthers. They are all over you quickly and their total team defense is phenomenal, plus let’s face it Skinner sucks and Ottinger seems rattled as does the whole stars team right now. Edmonton already has enough cups and Dallas won in 99. It’s Florida’s time.
Skinner looks better then Otter right now. Oettinger isn't having a great year in general. Either goalie is going to be the weakest one the Panthers faced all playoffs. Vasy, Swayman, and Igor.
