very informative Mike thank you :-)
Thanks Mike, for showing your setup, excellent footage of the Woodie's.
BTW Your hair was perfect, hope you didn't spend too long styling it :-)
I love your videos mike, been watching them for the all week they are fantastic! Thank you!
Thanks Mike! Super shots of the woodies. Really interesting behaviour from the parent. I sometimes feel us humans could learn a lot from birds! Lol
Fantastic footage and really helpful content. I really appreciate the time and effort you spent on this Mike, thanks.
The videos just keep getting better and better . Thanks Mike.
Pretty nifty and clever ideas. That work. Love the information and footage. Tysm
That is fantastic footage, Beautiful photos, Many Thanks For Sharing.
Amazing tips, thanks
I would think of using a milk cart for transport.
A milk cart is made out of steel tubing with chicken fence walls and two large bicycle wheels. The bottom is usually made out of plywood. The wheels are in the middle, so the load is balanced.
These can cope with pretty bad roads since the wheels are big.
Great video Mike keep them coming
Great footage mike, those woodpeckers were awesome to watch 🤩
Great footage, must stick my camera on a pole next time I find a nesting pair of Great spotted Woodpecker. The simply ideas are often the best.
GENIOUS! BTW, how do you deal with the sway of the pole in the wind?
If its too windy I would not be there, but the pole does sway. I have guy ropes on it.
Can you make a video on tawny and little owls as well, your videos are highly informative with indepth knowledge sharing !
I am a young Wildlife photographer from India, and I want to be you when I grow up. 😁 Great great work sir! Just lovely!
Hi Thanks. I would like to be like you. Young!

@@MikeLaneFRPS sir! Do you have an instagram account? I’d very much like to keep up with the pictures you take.
@@arcaneformula no sorry
Beautifully marked birds. Whereabouts in the UK was this filmed?
Warwickshire
Hi, do you have anything on Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers? I know they're very scarce these days.
I don't have a UA-cam film on them, but I have photographed them a few times. They do not usually visit feeders and spend more time higher up in trees than Great-spotted. Hence they get photographed close to nest sites more often than not.
Good video, thank you, but comb your Hair ?? 😂😂
It's the bird that's 'great', not the spots. Therefore it's Great Spotted Woodpecker, not Great-spotted
