Fascinating interview with a unique talent. The first time we saw Sam perform back in 2018, we were blown away. I remember talking to Sam after the show and comparing them to Radiohead, so it's interesting to hear they were an influence. From his earlier songs like Murder and I Wish I Was A Shark, through to Hostages and his latest work, Sam is an exceptional lyricist. We can't wait to see where his musical journey takes him. How great to hear an interview where the interviewer isn't desperately waiting for a gap in the conversation just to listen to the sound of their own voice again - it felt very relaxed, and was definitely an hour well spent. Great work, thank you.
Same Mistake Twice is an emotional freight train. Please god keep writing these songs, I could listen to this one forever. I'm a die hard Mars Volta, Grateful Dead, Phish, Bright Eyes, Dave Matthews, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Ani DiFranco, Pretty Lights, Remi Wolf, Cyndi Lauper, Miles Davis, Prince, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Nirvana, Young Thug, Talking heads, Dolly Parton, Lola Young type fanatic, and you in the league my friend. Keep writing, the world needs your music. ❤
