La moglie di Jordi Savall , ora defunta, era una famosa cantante lirica. eseguiva un meraviglioso antico canto medioevale religioso, che si sente cantare solo nelle cattedrali di Maiorca ( Isole BALEARI, SPAGNA), per privilegio speciale papale, ed ALGHERO , SARDEGNA ( ITALIA). Ad ALGHERO , sopravvive una folta Catalana antica, risalente alla dominazione aragonese ( ( XIV sec. ) . Il canto si chiama CANTO DELLA SIBILLA ed era diffuso in tutta la Cristianità. Esso veniva ( come lo è tuttora , esclusivamente , nella cattedrale di Maiorca ed in quella di Alghero ) alla Vigilia di Natale.
