I am using TDR-150. Yesterday was ok, but today, the equipment has problem with de soil temperature. I began to mark the soil temperature today, and it marked the same as if it were atmosphere temperature. What I can do? If this problem persists after calibrating the equipment with the air temperature and introducing the sensors in water?
The TDR-150 uses a thermistor located on the base of the unit. To read the soil temperature accurately the thermistor needs to be in contact with the soil. Therefore when taking a sample please check that the pins are completely beneath the surface of the soil and that the base of the unit is firmly touching the soil surface. If the problem persists please contact your local dealer
Hello!
I'd like to know WHEN should I calibrate the sensor and HOW do I know I have to calibrate it? Thanks in advance
Hello Andre.
What is the clay porcentage in soil concidered to be high?, and for sand? My questions are for the configuration.
Thank very much.

@@johnmorrisscientific Thank you. I will take in consideration.
Why this instrument have 2 rods?. It is not necessary just one?
This helps you achieve a more correct reading... remember soil moisture is not equal everywhere... so a little distance between two readings is best.
Well made...
Thank you Shayneel
