This video seems so much like a eulogy, even though it was filmed over 2 years before he sadly passed away. Makes me so sad thinking about what recently happened. As a canadian, he was certainly one of my riding idols, and seeing him go so soon just makes me so sad. #LONGLIVEJORDIE
When i finally get my first dh bike ive been wanting for years getting one in next couple week either a yt Tues or a kona operator. I will get a custom #LONGLIVEJORDIE decal for handlebars in homage to a hero ive watched and idolised
I remember meeting Jordie in a class at the local college in 2000/2001. I had a Canmore world cup t shirt on and we immediately started talking bikes instead of the subject which was Canadian history. We had a fitness class together as well and would run around Colliery dam talking about riding. He was an amazing, positive person. We decided to go and do a few Hammerfest dh runs one weekend, and I remember pushing our bikes up the course, with him talking about the lines. It totally blew my mind. I couldn't believe some of them. We got to the top, turned around, and I saw him for about 8 seconds as he powered off. I tried to keep up and bailed hard. When I did get to the bottom we laughed and headed up the hill for another run. I wasn't a beginner, but I wasn't any good. He didn't care, he was content to just joke around and ride bikes. He said school wasn't for him, and once the semester was over, I think he dropped out, and I never bumped into him again. In that short time it was clear he was the type to not let life pass him by, that he would work hard and fight for what he wanted. When he placed 20th at the Grouse WC that summer, I was stoked, and when I would hear of his results in later years, or see videos of the amazing stuff he was doing, I would always think back to those two classes, our conversations, and how awesome a guy he was. RIP Jordie
That was really beautiful. Great work guys. I love how you took the time to hear from Jordie so the audience could get to know him. He has always been a really cool, yet mysterious figure to me, but this film humanizes him. I remember the first time I saw Jordie was in the film The Collective and there was something about him that captured my attention. Great to see how far Geoff Gulevich has come as well. Great job.
I used to go to riding clinics at his yard in Parksville. The same place they filmed the dirt jump section in Roam. Haven't seen him in a while but still gonna miss him.
#roughaf you will be missed man you brought so much life and joy into the sport and community and man its sad to think this legend is gone. #longlivejordie 🤙🤙🤙😢
I have to say Jordy wasn't my favorite rider, a bit too eccentric and stuff, never took the time to get to know him more. Seeing all the love shown by all the guys who knew him make me think that was a mistake, he seems to be a simple guy and a great human being. passing away doing what you love the most is beautiful in a way, I hope he would have thought that way!
When someone like Jordi is gone a vacuum is created that can never be filled. Thoughts are with his family and friends. So sad to lose such a truly lovely lad. Rest in piece
im 60, n find his life totally inspiring, was in Navy, my lifes career, fixing F-14 Tomcats, that made me happi, im glad biking made Jordie happi..........i still ride...rip JL..
Learned about Jordie today I can't say I will remember him but it is good to learn about his story and it is good to hear that he is from the island as am I he seemed like a great guy
I saw Jordie ride a BC or Island cup race maybe 2003 in Parks-Vegas, stupidly head and shoulders above the rest. Manualed a rhythm section and made it look like he was carving a new line in the track. Good video.
Rest In Peace❤❤ You was an inspiration for all of us. Thanks for all videos. Its just too sad to hear those bad news. You are a legend. We will miss you. #LongliveJordie
@3:25 thru 4:00 ☆☆☆ pretty hard to listen 2 😔😞. But he always knew, even though he was a professional, there is always that chance something bad could happen 🙏. He was and will always be a very humble and cool dude!! ✌🤘🤙👍
i was at the opening of his memorial bike park in vic and i got 2 of the hats he wore and just holding it and seeing him and knowing he wore it is so cool rip

As an American, he makes me wish I was Canadian. Seemed like such a good dude.
Such a solid guy. Really pushed me to get into free riding.
Had the pleasure to chat with Jordie this year at a trade show. What a kind, calm , humble person he was. Sad times
