I don't understand why Hmong are so crazy about becoming a PabTha (president but also means help bury). It's not even a PabTha of a company or anything. The way I see Hmong's PabTha of a clan is no one wants the job so they give it to whoever has nothing better to do so he has a lot of time on his hands to be PabTha. Plus, becoming a PabTha of a clan doesn't require anything... no requirements, no election, no debate, no campaign, no vision, no vote, nothing... just a few old guys sitting at the table drinking beer agreeing on who they want to be the next PabTha. Those who know better will refuse the job leaving those... like these guy's friends, they used to be gangsters, probably with only a high school education, so their clan making these guys PabTha says that they have a stupid clan cuz that's the best they can do... just like in a gang, acting tough but when they see the cops, they all run with their tales between their legs... and when in jail, they can't even afford a loath of bread or defend themselves (verbally and physically) much less hire a lawyer.
