It's a strapless bodice tutorial Fam. I'm trying to broaden my design scope and make more formal dresses and I thought making a padded strapless bodice would be a great starting point. I hope you guys enjoy this video and try it out for yourself in your spare time ^.^
So glad you made this video I have been struggling to make a strapless top on my own with no help for a wedding dress I wanna make and this has made it so much easier for me! Thank you so much ❤️ also could you make a video on how to make a gathered tulle long skirt.
Hey new here ❤️ Daniela Tabois referred me to you for how to draft patterns. Because nobody really teaches that let alone have a playlist of it 😩 like how to draft different pant patterns and jeans and different tops and dresses without tracing them with clothing pieces or draping a pattern. I want to know how to DRAFT a pattern ... every pattern 🤗
What a great idea to use that foam!! Where did you get it? I think you can even take a little in over your stomach, it will flatter your body even more.
Awesome tutorial, now you have me looking for foam, what size foam did you experiment with? Also when you finish the bodice will you be adding a lining as well?
Looks great. Look forward to seeing the finished dress! When you create a pattern, how do you know how much ease to allow? What difference would it make if you had a non stretch material and a stretchy one?
Thanks Andrea. As for ease, it's personal preference. Some ladies love their clothes fitted whereas others like a bit of room. I usually give about 1cm or 1 inch depending on the garment design. Half an inch is a safe place to start, and if it's too much you can take away unwanted excess. I don't know a lot when it comes to stretchy material so I can't say for sure what the difference will be, but I've been told patterns for stretchy fabrics are usually a size down from your regular dress size. So I heard 🤔
Sensational as always sis!! You inspire me so much! Please when are the next fabrics dropping on your store (and what’s the link please) I have an Eid party coming up soon and I need to slay ohhh 😭❤️
Pricella. I also love your tutorials. But one think i would like you to say when making videos. Let us know the best type of material needed for the item that you are making. It makes it easy for me when i need to try what you did.
i really love this. but i have an issue with size because i'm a size 14/42 eu . i'm afraid this method won't work for big sizes. or what what do you think?
I think you should try it anyways to see how it sits on your body. If the bodice you start with is your size and the bust form is size 14, then this method should work. You also have the freedom of making the flat pattern first, cut the sample and sew it together, and try it on.

+Kim Dave OK thanks you soooo much!😊
Hi Kim what about the back you don't talk about that how did you finish it off with a zipper/buttons??
I didn't talk about the back because this is a sample. You can fix a zip on the centre back to fasten it up 😊
Hi, I have a question, if the top is short to the waist, where to put the dart ending?
Hi Caroline. The dart will end along the waistline if that’s where you want it to end
@@KimDave thanks hun. Trying your video today.
