When my mother was courting my father back in the 60s, she went out on a Saturday morning and bought fabric, and then spent the afternoon making an outfit to wear that evening. She did this same routine every Saturday for many years.
Loved having the hour clock onscreen along with number of days worked on. Made it quite a different take to the other dress in a day videos I’ve seen. And the music worked so well with your storytelling. Well done and thanks!
That is just marvelous! I especially appreciated that you gave yourself a break and a long walk. Well done. So wise. A beautiful walk and a beautiful finish.
How awesome is it to use a pattern twice 👍 You choices of fabric both times were great! 💖 Always love seeing doggy footage and a marvelous countryside walk. May I ask what part of England (?) your in? Tfs❤🇨🇦
It is a beautiful dress and it fits you well. So did you take a paper draft off your final bodice for future use? Love the country side, love the beautiful dogs. Thank you for sharing.

how wonderful! Did she have a wardrobe full of dresses though?
@@JaleaWard Yes, she had lots of clothes - she loved making them. She made all my clothes when I was little too.
24 hours. Completed in any 24 hours is still a day. No matter how many days that amounts too. You look amazing in this beautiful dress.
I loved the intro but I loved how pretty you look in that dress even more!
Jalea, you really told us a story through this wonderful film. The gown is lovely and you are lovely in it!
Beautiful dress. And I love your filming techniques.
Oh, Jalea! I love it, that fabric is gorgeous!!!
I love this! Feels very edwardian.

Love it. Well done! Spreading out your 24 hours of work over a few days is still a dress in 24 hours!
What a fun and beautiful fabric you used - it makes for a very lovely dress. Also, your countryside area looks idyllic. I wish I was in England!
What part of the country would that be?
A day is 24 hours. How you split that up, is up to you. It’s a beautiful dress!!!! Excellent work!!!

Stunning. What a lovely version of that pattern! And well within a day when you go by the hours, which totally counts!
Lovely. Simply lovely.
Wonderful colours
What a lovely dress. That fabric is dreamy!
Absolutely gorgeous! I loved the story that came with this video. I laughed, I cried and I celebrated your victory in the end! ^_^
This was such a great video! The dress looks fantastic and your intro was absolutely perfect!
beautifull!!! The gown, you, and the video
15 hours? Sounds like "half a day" dress
It's so beautiful! I'm also into the doggies, and that countryside is amazing!
Beautiful.
Thats beautiful
Puppies make all sewing back-pedalling better 😊
Well done, Jalea, and so lovely on you!
Beautiful!
Gorgeous!
Wow, that is gorgeous! Love that fabric!
Did you purchase that fabric online? If so, I would love a link to it. Thanks so much! 💕
That fabric is stunning 😍😍
I think so too!

Thankyou :). Yes, I made notes on the pattern about the alteration. When I checked, I’d altered the red dress too but not changed the pattern...
💖
Is your dog a blue heeler? I have a red heeler!
He's a Welsh Collie/Kelpie cross. So he has Kelpie stubborn, Kelpie energy and Welsh Collie high-strung!
@@JaleaWard Oh dear! Joey is energetic and way to smart for me
Your dress is fan-tas-tic ! You technically made it in less than 24 hours, so you chieved the dress-in-a-day from my point of view!
Jalea!! That intro was so spunky and wonderful! I love the dress and how creative you are. I’m so glad you did the challenge and shared it with us:)
