- Here's an ad from the '60s or '70s featuring a silent Jack Gilford in a railroad sleeper car and a box of Cracker Jack snack food. This ad was featured in an '80s show highlighting classic TV ads.

With all due respect, I doubt this is from the early 1980s. Early 1970s is more like it.
Nicholas, you are quite right. It was pulled from a tape recorded in the '80s and it featured many popular commercials. I think this must have been a featured ad on this show. Thanks for the update. I'll edit the description!
@@morrisonAVthis is from 1962 (doyle dane bernbach) to be exact
This was originally seen in 1969 (that's when the big "Pass Around Pack" was introduced). A 30 second version was created by speeding up the film twice as fast!
@@fromthesidelines ..you win the prize..!
Thanks! :)
At least you got a taste, Jack.
IMHO Best commercial ever produced..
The version played in the midwest in the 70s, when the guy touches his face , the screen goes blank..
( like he punched him in the nose .. but didn't show it )
Out of a lifetime of being very entertaining, this is one of my favoite things Jack Gilford ever did!
This is the one I remember!
The prizes were way more cool. When they had the big box. Before switching to the pass around bag.
Hahha
Hmm
