This was my FIRST Princess Cruise on THIS ship and the LAST Cruise before lockdown, literally weeks before. I was a HAL loyal, but I just LOVED the Princess vibe !! Sailing w Princess again in Feb. 2023 and hoping they can capture the past magic !
This is so helpful. I really dislike so much on UA-cam but you and Gary Bembridge are genuinely very helpful. Headed on Crown (also inside cabin like you) next month and this was well worth my time… and the tip about no plugs beside the bed
What a great, complete tour of this ship. We are leaving on a 28 day South Pacific cruise in 31 days aboard the Crown and I now have a list of places on board that, I’m sure, will become my favorite hang outs.
Very informative video! My wife and I will be sailing on the Crown Princess in June 2023 to Alaska. We look forward to this cruise as it will be our first ever cruise!
Great tour, I will be on the Crown Jan 31st 2023 for a 15 night Hawaii cruise out of LA, can't wait to see the Crown in person, got a aft Vista Suite to relax in and enjoy my time away, there is nothing wrong with the audio, Skip
What an excellent video. You covered everything. I wish you got a shot of the buffet. Honest of you to point out the wear and tear. But I think a cruise is what you make it to be. Always so much to do, great fun. Do you recall if the shower had a safety bar? You were a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to another cruise. Don’t know when, but I’m ready any time
The video was really good and Informative. It is very cohesive. Unfortunately, the audio is not good. Some of the background music overpowers the speakers voice or the speaker is too far from the camera.
Thank you for this. I have back to back Princess cruises booked for my 50th next year on the Grand from San Francisco to Vancouver then the Crown from Vancouver back to Seattle. A total of 9 days plus the flight home. If, for some reason, my job will not give me the full 10 days off, I may have to cancel eirher the first or second half of that trip.
I am going on Crown next year for 14 days from LA to Alaska. I really appreciate your detailed videos of the crown. My wife and I were looking for a good cabin and liked your tip about an aft room on the Riviera Deck. We really like the hidden adult pools and like being able to sneak back there and see the Alaska scenes really easily. I have a couple concerns. First, the rooms seem to be under the buffet. Did you have any issues with noise? Also, how are these back rooms when it comes to sea sickness. In our first cruise on the a carnival splendor, my wife never got to sick but the two times she did have slight issues was on the lower level aft.
Ernest Barton nice cruise itinerary! We didn’t hear the pool and overall it was quiet. However we had rough seas and wind and could hear what sounded like bar carts rolling one night or early morning. It was really very rocky, and we’ve never had this before. We’ve stayed aft before (even on this ship) and find overall this is a good location with minimal movement. Avoid forward though if possible. I can see how you’ll get amazing vantage points from the back of the ship. Please let me know if you have other questions:)
Spent a lot of time at terrace pool sipping last cup of coffee just after breakfast ! Sad story - on the last night of the cruise , there was a woman sobbing uncontrollably toward the back deck in a chair at the terrace pool. I felt SO bad for her and wanted to ask if I could help, but there was crew nearby, and I figured I’d better leave the situation to ship staff. She had either experienced a relationship breakup, news of a loss of a loved one, or a recent medical diagnosis. I would get depressed knowing my vacation was nearly over and I would be returning to the 9-5 grind, but she was obviously going through something much worse. Was TOUGH to see.
We always sail out of San Francisco and had the pleasure of sailing on the Royal Princess which called San Francisco it's home port for about a year. Now we heard the Crown Princess will be calling San Francisco it's home port for the rest of 2023 and part of 2024. Not thrilled with the Crown since it seems really dated. I guess the west coast is just not big enough of a market for Princess to send us a newer ship. 😥
Also...so many of Princess cruise ships are all set up pretty much the same. Which in some ways make it nice so you know the layout ahead of time. Which I find hysterical for the "elete" members who still have no clue where anything is.
Just found your channel because I'm thinking about cruising to Hawaii January 16, 2023. Do all the inside rooms have the pull down beds? It's just going to be me and I don't need them. Also you mentioned the power outlets have to be approved? Thank you.
Princess use to cater to an older crowd, but it is trying to attract a younger crowd with technology and special rates, etc. Personally I am happy without kids running all over the place as with Disney and Carnival and hoping it wont take away from the overall "feeling" of the cruise. But yes...families do travel on Princess. Maybe this was filmed during a time that...I dont know....they should be in school?
DO NOT SAIL ON CROWN PRINCESS! We just got off of their Alaskan Cruise. Besides the port time issues from the engine issues they've lied about, half of the ship's toilets do not work among a whole host of other issues.

Thanks for the tour. We just booked a cruise on the Crown to Alaska for next year. It reminds me of the Ruby that we did 60 days on this past spring.

Love the Crown. Lovely ship. Great memories

Just watched. I guess this was your last cruise glad I discovered you. Can't wait till we all can board a ship and set sail again
Who knew at the time it would be the “last”. Hoping to sail soon - & the same for each of us
Thanks we sail on Crown Vancouver to Hawilli return in October 18th.
So helpful. Thank you
We too try to take the stairs as much as possible.

You've come a long way in video making Ilana since you began 🙂
Thank you for the video. Does the Crown Princess have the Lotus Spa Enclave?? Thanks

What brand of cruise-approved outlet strip did you use? I like that it had USB ports.
What is the price for the wrist holder for the medillion
Not understanding how people say they cannot hear you? I have no problem. Maybe the "age" of the clientele?
I'm from Barbados
are they all salt water pools?
Did I miss Crown Grill?
When was this cruise?
Is there a pool in the thermal suite
A great steam room and a sauna. They were never busy.
If you have any questions about the Crown Princess, please let me know
You can't hear you talking with the music in the background.
im claustrophic so that hotel room is not going to work for me.....living in a Shoebox for 10 days 😳
I don't see any children on that cruise. Is it not really for children?
Princess use to cater to an older crowd, but it is trying to attract a younger crowd with technology and special rates, etc.

Music is too loud to hear her talking.
We could no hear two words together the volume needs attention in this video

Oh no! We're going on this ship in September. Hope they get things fixed :(
@@donnaelliott9627 how was your sailing? We sail in June 2023
Differing opinion, loved the crown Princess and are sailing again on her. Sorry for your bad experience. Sometimes bad things just happen.😮
