Hi interesting video. What minimal specs would you recommend for a Chromebook for casual music production. Thanks.
interesting development, have a Chromebook going unused so this cool. Great app for those that can get by with minimal tracks. I have Cubasis 2 and it’s excellent for what it is.
oh whoa..... this will be interesting!
How do i get the chromebook keyboard to trigger notes in midi?
Will it work with Acer's Chromebook Tab 10 tablet?
dopeee
I'm running Cubasis 3 on a Ipad Pro 2021 12.9 with the M1 chip, which is a very powerful device. I wonder how the average Chromebook will cope when running a complex project, containing many tracks with eq/effects and multiple plugins.
Thats why google is investing in GPU driven chromebooks in the near future chromebooks will become just as or even more powerful then what the average people needs. Meaning that things like running complex project will be a breeze on chromebooks.
GPU isn’t used much in audio production. Mostly CPU and RAM
Hello, I have a google chrome book , I downloaded cubasis 3 when my two hardware asseccesories arrived in the mail , a TC30 microphone and a UMC22 audio interface, will these be able to record on this or do I need to use a later version, I’m incredibly confused
I was able to get my m-audio 2x2 working through usb type c through my duet and it works perfectly fine. I can record through my mic and hear through my head phones. Its totally operational cause of the linux kernal has most of the drivers needed for these things to work on how chrome os work with the linux kernel so it works right out of the box for me. Hope it will for you too :)
Can it run on an Acer Chromebook Tab 10 (the world's first Chromebook tablet, made in 2018)?
This may be a moot point, since, according to Wikipedia, the Chromebook Tab 10 is no longer going to be supported for updates after 2023).
What audio interface works for recording guitar with a Chromebook?
I have an old Alesis iO2 and it was recognised at once by an Acer CB314 Chromebook. I’d say that anything USB compliant should work. By the way, the audio flux was bidirectional, too.
IRig works ok
Is it free
Has anybody tried this out on a chomebook yet? How is it?
I'll update sometime in the next few weeks. Getting a pretty high end chromebook next week in the mail and going to be testing my lower end one in the next few weeks along with it as well.
@@AnoxTheBox what happened???
You def need 8 gigs of ram or more with a more capable cpu machine as cubasis 3 will need more power for more complex your song becomes. But that can be handled soon with the new chromebooks coming on the market that will even add steam support. Maybe soon they'll add wine support for windows apps running on their platform. Since chrome os uses a flexible bubble for their apps to work in. Linux hasn't been too great for now. But I'm still able to run some linux apps like ardour 7 and lmms. But things like windows programs running under wine has a error caused by a UI or Interface not being able to write on the screen and download called Gecko I think its called. It will have that error but hopefully in the near future they will have more and more support for wine and running windows apps no longer needing windows at all. That is the future of windows I believe. Linux :)
@@AnoxTheBox So how was it???
i wish it was free
Please add a professional sampler
Please, please.
I thought that by now mobile music was going to be something great
I’m so disappointed ☹️
Look up beat maker 3 for ipad . It's literally FL studio 11 but better and mobile
@@sapetabeats thanks so much
Cubasis 3.4.3 does have a professional sampler already inside for your own recording or instruments to be made with. I made several instruments with samples and sounds I got from packs that I bought easily. You can even use drum pads for storing those samples in a drum like setting even though it would show a keyboard I think you can get those drum pads loaded with your own samples as well on Chromebook. As I did it before anyways.
It is a waste if is no able to use audio interfaces in a chromebook.
You can.
@@MobileDecay yes I found how, thanks! Cheers!
This, but not Linux ...
Is this a joke? I can't find anyone who knows anything about this or an outlet that stocks it. I'm highly dubious about your average Chromebook being able to store anything other than the main graphic for cubase, never mind a whole feckin song with individual track's.
It's not a joke. Chromebooks are not the "browser-in-the-box" that they used to be. They're full fleged computers now that work both online and offline. They range from arm processors all the way to late gen I7 Processors. The cheapest ones you'll see in a Walmart have at least a late gen Intel Celeron CPU, which is more than enough to handle a phone app.
Yeah you can definitely tell they are using the mobile version in the vid
Just get a chromebook plus, they have atleast an i3 12th gen with 6 cores 8 threads, and 8GB ram or a Ryzen 7xxx something cpu.
