Lyrics:[Verse 1] I'm not what I seem Only in this moment Only in this moment I'm holding on I'm still bound to bleed This is just a moment I thought you should know it I'm gold then gone [Verse 2] I'm not what I seem Only in this moment Only in this moment I'm holding on I'm no guarantee I can barely focus I know I seem hopeless I'm gold then...[Chorus] Gone, gone, gone, gone Gone, gone, gone, gone [Verse 3] I'm not what I seem We can both be honest I'm not what I promised I'm off then on Pray I find my peace Pray I slay the dragon Pray I break this madness and find the shore [Outro: Alex Gardner] "Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices. My flesh also dwells secure, for You will not abandon my soul to Sheol or let Your holy one see corruption. You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness and joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
“For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.” Romans 7:15 I started sobbing uncontrollably the first time I heard this song. The sins I have committed by my addiction have left hurts and scars and broken trust. However, by GODS grace, He has restored relationships and is faithful to finish the work He has started in me. Pray I find my peace Pray I slay this dragon Pray I break this madness And find the shore “Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely. For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay. You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” Psalms 16:9-11
In the song, Chad is talking about how even though he may seem like a "good" Christian, he still struggles and slips up too ("Gold then gone"). He hopes to "slay the dragon" which may be a sin that keeps on tripping him up. And the scripture at the end jusy reminds us that no matter how many times we slip up, that God is with us and He will not abandon us. So we should keep on pushing and persevering because all the joy in the world is found in God.
+ebony.avi now I get it! Thank you so much! ^^ While Listening to Kings Kaleidoscope, i came to the conclusion that we should be more honest and open to God. If God knows everything about us before we can even think about it, why we have to be so religious and 'holy' in front of Him?? And I think, when we are willing to be open and honest with God, He really starts to work in us from inside.
I wonder what the artwork cover here portrays, or were taken from? Is it supposed to be a scene from the book of Revelation? or David at war? or just some Greek mythology war?
That's actually King David after he killed Goliath. Not a lot of people know, but he actually cut off Goliath's head with his own sword after killing him with the stone.
The ending literally gave me chills.
Lyrics:[Verse 1]
I'm not what I seem
Only in this moment
Only in this moment I'm holding on
I'm still bound to bleed
This is just a moment
I thought you should know it
I'm gold then gone
[Verse 2]
I'm not what I seem
Only in this moment
Only in this moment I'm holding on
I'm no guarantee
I can barely focus
I know I seem hopeless
I'm gold then...[Chorus]
Gone, gone, gone, gone
Gone, gone, gone, gone
[Verse 3]
I'm not what I seem
We can both be honest
I'm not what I promised
I'm off then on
Pray I find my peace
Pray I slay the dragon
Pray I break this madness and find the shore
[Outro: Alex Gardner]

Psalm 16 as an ending, so beautiful!
That scripture at the end is so uplifting and powerful! Thank you for following God and making such incredible music that exalts Him!
Beautiful art, an far greater message. They both matter. They mattered as hymns before and now. It's just the difference today than yesterday.

Looks like David and Goliath to me!
It is David and Goliath. After slaying him, David cuts off Goliath's head.
It's by Gustav Doré.
