Hi, I'm thinking of getting a second hand model of this. Is this car reliable enough? How long have you been driving it? I want to hear from the real owners but there is no one has it around me ;(
The 2015 Jetta has a soft touch dash in Mexico, seems strange thet this particular car doesn't have it, I rented one with the hard plastic dash and it felt cheap, the drive however was quite decent...
The Navigation Settings are available with 2D, and 3D . You said it was horrid and it was set on 3D. Not too many cars offer that. The setting button, bottom left, can change it to 2D, with street names. I just bought a Loaded 2015 1.8 TSI "Connectivity " and my City Sticker said 30 MPG in the CITY. Also I do have lights when I open the mirror. Wonder why yours didn't.
Has VW improved the reliability of their electrical system overall ? They used to have all kinds of electronic bugs, which is what has caused me to steer clear of VW cars. It's a shame, cause the driving experience is way up there.
Bought a 2013 se w/convenience and sunroof 5 weeks ago with 16340 miles (now 17000) for $13100. Certified preowned with the extra 2yr/24k miles warranty 5 speed manual candy white w/cornsilk beige interior. It has the 2.5 motor (sounds great when pulling in second gear imo. I believe I got a good deal. First car ever at age 26.👏 I treat her like my child. Lol
Its mid level, quiet but not the quietest, comfortable but not a luxury vehicle. Its driving dynamic is amazing though, handles well, has plenty of passing power and feedback.
I'm just unsure of the quality of Volkswagens now... My 2011 GTI, which was made in Wolfsburg, Germany was miles ahead (quality wise) compared to my 2013 Jetta Sportswagen.
Very nice review! Just wanted to say, please don't compare the Honda Civic SI with the TSI 1.8L Turbo Jetta, as far as power figures go. The SI compares to the Jetta GLI.
I don't know about that. The civic has a naturally aspirated 2.4 liter with 201 horsepower and 170 ft pounds of torque. The Jetta 1.8 TSI has 170 hp that peaks at just 4800 rpm flat through 6500 rpm redline and a torque rating of 184 pound feet at just 1500rpm flat through 4750rpm. So, you may be surprised. yes the civic has 30 more peak horsepower but needs 6500 rpm to make it and 4500 to make 15 fewer pound feet. The Jetta with a 6 speed automatic transmission with the 1.8 TSI can do 0-60 mph in just 7.2 seconds...thats fast....now, lets go with the 5 speed manual and shave a second off that time..low to mid 6 seconds...thats fast. check out car and driver, they tested the 1.8 TSI golf with a manual transmission and clocked 60 mph in just 6.7 seconds.exactly one second quicker than the golf with the 6 speed auto stick which needs 7.7 seconds-still fast by any measure. I also drove this car with an automatic and the 5 speed manual...very very quick, superb low, mid range and high rpm power. the engine pretty much makes power all over the tach. If you look at the 1.8 TSI power characteristics its easily explainable. 184 Ft Lb at 1500 to 4750..right at this rpm range of 4750rpm is where peak horsepower of 170 kicks in and stays flat until redline. Beautiful engine...smoooth, quiet...refined....and fast
Can you count how many times this guy says "Handsome"? He honestly doesn't sound like he likes the car. This video isn't a good review. The camera movement keeps distracting me away from the car and isn't panned far enough to let me see everything he's talking about.
I have this car and I am in LOVE with it! Definitely recommend super nice and drives very smooth and the speaker system is excellent.

It's great man, about the same annual maintenance as my old Honda civic@@yj7000, I didn't see that this comment was 4 years old 😂
Nice to know Pauly Shore still has work!
VW says welcome to the 1990s with it's Navigation Unit. :D
The Jetta has come a long way! (:
ok i finally found a video that displays the engine sound on a new 2015 1.8t engine. My passat sounds just like this and I was a little worried lol.
TheIdiotChallenge yeah me too, my jetta has that constant clicking sound and I was worried but, I'm guessing that's how they all are
lmao
Same i have a 15 Jetta s the loud ticking had me worried
The 2015 has the same wheelbase as the outgoing model. If you're going to do a review, you should know about the car.
you're vidoes getting better and better

P.S I'm in love with the new tail light design. Just what the jetta needed.
So this car have diferrent stereos based on trim level?
Are you sure it increased the wheelbase, the only exterior change i notice from the 2014 is the front panel and the rear lights......
They also did the front bumper grill dashboard and trunk lid

you said that they increased the wheel base this year I don't think they would change the wheel base they did that in 2011 when they came out.
Good thing mine has an exhaust they are so quiet stock
Is it hybrid?
I don't understand why my car doesn't have that radio but it has better seats but nice video
Camerons Car Reviews, please do startup & review 2014 Hyundai Equus. Thanx!
Cameron Did You Forgot To Mention The Driving Dynamics Of The Jetta
Great review man

+John Doe edit : I'm now the owner of a 2015 VW Golf. Such a fun car to drive around in.

Bought a 2014 se in April of this year with 24,225 miles for 12,500. Love the car, and enjoy driving it. looking into purchasing the 2019
What about the noise on the road? Is it a quiet and comfortable drive?
Its mid level, quiet but not the quietest, comfortable but not a luxury vehicle. Its driving dynamic is amazing though, handles well, has plenty of passing power and feedback.
its quiet for most part but that growl of the engine is amazing. rubbing feel when driving but its normal for the jetta
Good review
Drink every time he says powertrain.
Jordan Kovacsik I’ll drink water let’s see
I have this exact same car except with no trim package or nav.
She’s been real good to me. Really zippy, hauls ass.

Come on VW, where is that temp. gauge???
Temp gauge is nice but what they really need is standard block heaters on all their TDI s
D Jay T No they don't. TDI's start amazingly in cold climates. Diesels aren't the same as they used too be.
CJBMAGGOT94 I agree, however having experienced a south Dakota winter with my TDI, it'd still be nice to have the option at the dealer.
D Jay T I live in Michigan and they do start very easily in the winter though. Even my 84 VW 1.6 diesel starts easily when its extremely cold.
D Jay T they don’t make TDI anymore
The amount of times he says “handsome” makes me nervous
Jetta 2014

My Jetta has more Squeaks and Rattles than compared to my Kia Soul. Really disappointed with the quality

You forgot turbo TSI
Does anyone notice that the fuel gage is just under 1/2 and it's saying 65 miles to empty? That is NOT good!
Im sure the fuel computer was reset. You can go more than 65 miles on a half a tanl
