Yes, true. As a speech language pathologist, I emphasize on receptive language which is a must. Expression will come automatically if receptive language is enough.
My 4 year old's receptive language is finally improving and his expressive is also picking up

My son is 2.8 years now.He is having inconsistent speech.How to overcome it?He never repeats words he said earlier.He said around 50 words only once or few times.He has borderline autism.

Hello work on his understanding skills , the more he learns the language the more u will see words comming out.. Build his vocabulary using single picture books.. Screen time should be absolutely zero.else the development would be very slow.. Also watch my video on language vs speech delay and speech and language development and try that.. Once u watch that also try the video pretend play in autism if u ate still not doing it with ur kid

hii mam mera beta 3 years ka he use sara academics aata he like alphabets numbers etc and words bhi kafi bol leta he but sentence khud se nahi bol pata use kya lena he proper nahi bata pata command follow karta he but kuch kuch hi and sabse jyada pareshani he ki ek cheej me uska man nahi lagta toys bhi alag alag chaiye and har time bs kuch bhi fekna todna bhagna plzz suggest wht should i do ??
Shivani work with him on few activities like pretend play occupation therapy at home and start taking him to 2km walk daily in the morning this will help in managing his hyperactivity

Start homeopathy if possible.
We started homeopathy and son rise program same time. Not sure which one worked him best , my husband tells that homeopathy is working. My son is progressing well . In the month of April , he has single words like car, water .. etc . We used yo teach him I want , but it’s very difficult for him to say I want .
Now he will use all time I want and I need .
I want water , I need socks .. etc
On top of it he use many words together
Let’s go to shop, buy green juice for him .
And n number of times I love mummy. 🥰

This program is all about play only . We spend 2 to 3 hrs for play and also we apply some aba strategies remaining time to teach him general knowledge ( community helpers, preposition, emotions.. etc)
