I've been following the development of this game for quite a while and it's been my most anticipated game in who knows how long.
Even when Grounded was first popular (and the second burst of popularity) I was thinking about this game and its like Grounded was teasing me 😂
(No offense to Grounded, its a nice game. It just was close but not quite what I was looking for)
Tiny non-human characters (like Borrowers, bug people, and fairies) have always fascinated me ever since I was a little kid. And this game ticks ALL the boxes for me. Full fantasy, not human, and being natural born in this gigantic environment and trying to survive ❤️

It does give grounded/ark vibes but imo the building is also like Conan exiles. I really hope smalland is a culmination of the best parts of those games 🤞

I know Grounded is inspired by "Honey I Shrunk The Kids", but this one has a distinct vibe. This game gives me so much "Arthur and the Minimoys" vibes mixed with "The Ant Bully".

Well I was the First
Coming to this game from elden ring certainly helped me cheese the combat even against multiple enemies. I think the safest way to proceed with combat is to wait for them to attack before you dodge to the side, where you can still reach them then land a couple hits before stepping back to replenish stamina, rinse and repeat. If there are multiple does, try to position yourself in a way that at least one of the bugs is blocking the others so you can focus only on the closest foe. It's more difficult to perform if there are more than two enemies but it is absolutely possible.

Yo Syn, each Enemy has a little symbol in front of it's name that indicates what weapon type does the most damage to it (blunt, slash, stabby). Also don't try to swim, small folk can't and drown fast.

No, you can't swim in this game. In Veno's first video of this game, he found an owl statue that says so (and then he immediately dodge rolled into the river and confirmed it).
What a pretty game, though! People keep comparing it to Grounded, but aside from the scale, it has a very different mood and aesthetic, so I don't think there's actually that much in common.

Dragonflies are much larger and thicker. Damselflies are those really skinny ones you see swarming plants.
