I startled my ex yesterday. I was making the resincrete hanging floweres kit and had filled up the molds competely then sort of shouted, "OH SH*T! I FORGOT TO SQUIDGY WIDGY!" My ex looked at me like he no longer wonders why we're divorced. ROFL
lol my husband was startled when I hollered "fuckin bloody hell I forgot to do the stabby twirl on my frog" he then looked st what I was listening to on my computer and walked away laughing. i like to listen to either creepy pastas or other stories. I was listening to a creepy pasta done by a British sounding guy that was using so many stereotypical phrases that my accent changed to his.... partial accent syndrome can be a real hoot. as for your ex he is missing out cause weird ones like us are more fun. keep embracing that chaos!!
I've used alcohol inks in those skull molds but I usually fill it about half way, add the alcohol ink and sinker and then wait about an hour and pour the other half, again, adding the inks and sinkers. It gives it this really cool 2 tone kind of deal. Just don't use too much ink the first time or you get that solid ring of color that just cuts your mold in half!
I do this all the time. What i also do is have white or black mixed with a bit of resin before putting that in. and then stir. It moves less to the sides that way and gives you nicer swirls
I Love the way these turned out. The color effect reminds me of Indian Jones ( Temple of Doom) I think that’s the right one. And yes after watching a few videos of yours the last few days, saw your kit and I did order it last night. So at the moment it is available to who ever wants it..
Try mixing up different colors of the ink in small containers of resin and then pour the resin in the big mold like you would with the ink but it will separate differently and spread out different giving you a better effect 👍🏻
I don't know if you've tried it but you could put drops of ink while pouring bits in. put some resin in then a few drops of ink then more resin then ink as you go until it is filled up. I also discovered on accident that if you dampen the more detailed molds with ink or alcohol it helps the resin to fill in the smaller bits giving a cleaner more detailed casting. also if you take a pipet of ninety or greater alcohol and drop several drops on the surface of the resin it degasses faster leaving less bubbles.
GREAT experiment, Steve! They all turned out nicely, but I just love the red one! ❤GORGEOUS! Another commenter mentioned they mix a wee bit of resin in with their ink before dropping it in. I wonder if that includes mixing in resin with the sinkers? 🤔 They said it also prevents the inks from going off to the sides (which mine do all the time & I don't like it). I'm going to try that trick, myself. A lot of others wondered, as I did, what would happen if you did no stirring at all? Do I foresee another experiment happening? 😁💕👍
Correction! The commenter (@DarkartIntents, I think?) said they mix in a bit of resin with either white or black. I'm assuming that's for the sinker, not the colors.
Hi. I tried using the clear Elmer's glue to suspend my glitter but it didn't work. Could it be the epoxy resin I use? I had about 100ml resin, started with 2 drops of glue and stopped at 8 because it wasn't thickening to the gel like texture. Please advise.😊
@denisekeyter-vr9ll Bummer! I've never had the Elmer's glue trick not work for me, whether in UV resin or Epoxy. What resin did you use? Brand, ratios, and work time might be very important, and we just don't know it, right?! I generally use Let's Resin 1:1 or Teexpert 1:1. I wonder if waiting an hour or so before putting in the glitter would work? Also, 1 drop of glue per ounce is the usual amt needed, if that helps?
I've asked around on a few other channels and can't get any info. I've been having issues with my alcohol inks not spreading in my resin. I've let the resin sit to warm up a bit, I've put the inks in right after pouring and nothing seems to work. Any ideas on how I can get the inks to spread properly?
Check out my video on using alcohol inks I released a few weeks ago that might help you. It could be many reasons, the resin you are using, the inks are old, or they are lower quality inks that hold a lot of water or the resin is too thick. Also it is important that you are using epoxy resin and not uv, polyester or polyurethane resin. Hopefully the video I made on how to use alcohol inks should answer your questions.
Hi Steve I watch u on utube all the time I have learned a lot. Question can you use resin Crete with epoxy resin and allow it to cure together I would love to see u try it

Oh, that's hilarious!

@@helema23 I used tappy wappy yesterday and he about fell off his chair. LOL

I enjoy experimenting with resin and different things. It's a lot of fun.
I wonder how it would look had you not stirred it?
Oh how funny…. That is what I just asked! I never stir my petri effects… they turn out amazing…
Wondered the same!

Brilliant idea! 😊👍💕
Can't decide which one is my favorite!!! They are absolutely gorgeous....
Stay safe, you do you, protect yourself and stay crafty 👍👍👑👑🛎️🔔🦋🦋☃️❄️🎉🎊
I think each one has cool features, but my favorite is the red one.
So happy my kit arrived this week🥰🥰🥰
How do I order this? I live in the states. Not sure if there’s a difference.
Beautiful Steve
The deep pour that I use is a 3 to 1 that takes three days to cure. After two days, you can get some really great effects with alcohol inks.
Awesome as always. Really appreciate your videos and odeas
Thank you 😀

Awesome job😊 I bought your kit and it is perfect love it!❤
I like the two deep pours. With the light, their color reminds me of Himalayan salts. The first one was a nice color too.
Those came out amazing. Yes I got your kit it is very awesome. Much appreciated.
Well done!
Would love to see all the colours❤😊
I love all 3 of them,beautiful ❤😊
I've literally just got this mould on Tues 😊 looking forward to using it ❤ they look great Steve ❤
All 3 are completely awesome
The 8 hour one has taken on a kind of swirling smoke/mist look at the back which is gorgeous. Mind you, all three came out really nice 😍
They look good
I like all 3. Well done!
Oh wow 😮😍😍😍
Those came out beautiful
I love the effect you got. ❤❤❤
I love these.
❤❤ Interesting mixing and results. I enjoyed your video and all the information. Thank you. M from USA
Very cool 😊 I've managed some cool effects in a frog mould, I'll need to try a skull now.
Thanks 😊
I just got your kit and I love it thank you
👏👏👏👏👏👏Awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺
They are absolutely gorgeous....
Those are sweet
I have been doing this for a while, and they sell really good!! Although I don't use a sinker white and I don't stir it.
I love em
I wonder how they would have turned out if you didnt stir them
I got one of your kits but didn't get any of those little pokie thingies. But that's ok. I used this when I did my resincrete kit. Love it!
Awesome skulls

I do this all the time but don’t stir and get done lovely patterns

They all look fantastic 💀💜
Very Cool Steve. What’s the light called that you used? Thanks
I watched your video with the TeeExpert pigments. I think they'd give an incredible effect in this mold.
GREAT experiment, Steve! They all turned out nicely, but I just love the red one! ❤GORGEOUS!

I bet adding a couple drops of clear pva glue would give a different effect as well.
Do you have to use deep pour if you are filling with other things in the skull
No, I have made several videos using these skull moulds that I have filled with other things and not used deep pour resin and they have been fine 😀
I wonder what they would look like without doing that stirring?

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🥰
Woul you call this the petri effect? Im still trying to figure out exactly what it should look like.
Oh, i thought the skulls looked very punk rock😂🧷
💀❤️
