Nice job Moose. I am doing trimmed gold fingers now with A/P. Two days and gold fingers are floating all over the mixture. Thanks for posting all those years. The wife is singin a different tune now. 🙂

Very nice bar moose. I made a 17ozt bar from cutoffs and such for a project I did for someone and when the bar solidified it came out with some very cool holographic effects. Keep melting

Good one moose. From someone who has experienced it. Try to stay away from non leather steel toes. Keep your laces loose enough do you can slip out of them quickly.
Have you ever refined the gold you've been recovering from e waste? Yeah I've been watching a while. Be careful stay safe

If you have room in the furnace.
Set your mold on top of the Crucible and let the furnace heat it up.

Always make sure your molds are level before pouring, otherwise you will have lopsided ingots. I can't tell from the camera angle, but I'm pretty sure that mold you just poured the silver into wasn't quite level. (The mold tipped when you poured the silver into it)

Hey Moose, been watching your channel for about 2 years now. Love every video, learnt so much, even though i don't scrap. It's highly addictive! A young lad over here in the UK has started his own channel. Mark Stone Limited. He's only 21 years old. I admire him for his work ethic. He walks miles per day with a wheel barrow or flat bed truck. You don't get many youngsters working that hard nowadays. He has his own way of making his videos, learning as he goes. If your viewers could check him out he deserves support. His speech & body has been affected as he had a car crash. Just ask your viewers to give him a chance. Any chance you can give him a shout out please? When you see how hard he works you'll think yes he deserves some support. If anybody checks him out, please keep the comments positive or give him pointers on how to improve his videos. Cheers Moose. Keep on scrapping. I've watched every video of yours. Far better than watching TV.

I certainly will mention it in a video for you, but if you have been watching for a couple years, how come you are not subscribed?

    • @madmattsbucketlist385

Moose, just read your reply. I subscribed ages ago to your channel. I think i've watched every video. I'm totally addicted. Been recovering from a couple of mini strokes lately, so started watching some of your videos again. A big thank you for such informative videos. Keep on Scrapping buddy. Thanks again, Matt.

@MooseScrapper hey man I enjoy your channel. I have about 12 feet x 4.5 inches of 2024T3 aluminum plated both sides with what I believe is 14 karat gold. Not 100% sure on the gold type. Would it be worth trying to remove? Any guess how much gold is there? I posted a pic on twitter but not sure if you check that. Thanks!

SOrry my daughter banned me from twitter..... as for the wire, take an inch of it and put it in a large plastic or glass container and add some hcl to it. If its aluminum it will be a very strong reaction producing heat but should dissolve the base metal pretty quick. Do NOT do that in large quantities as it will boil over.

Moose Scrapper it’s actually flat aluminum sheet metal plated with gold.i work in aircraft interior and we had some kick plates that got rejected. Do you have an email I can send you a picture of it?
