Yeah, it was sort of an inside joke. I told Glen he actually dodged a bullet by not buying into MTV’s short-term fascination with death metal. I honestly believe that those dingbats at MTV were partly responsible for the thrash scene imploding in the mid-90s.
Didnt even need to mix or master the recording? Thats pretty goddamned remarkable. Feel is everything though and these guys definately know what the fuck they're doing, they are battle-hardened veterans at this point.
Best death metal album put out within the past 5 plus years. One of their stronger albums imo. Has a bit of every era of their discog in here. They sounds fresh af.
So that's why Deicide albums never went outside its formula. Benton doesn't listen to anything new and isn't influenced by it. He sticks with his formula for writing.
@pinnerspinner8389 yup everything has gotten so generic. A lot of music sounds the same. But deicide along with other bands from that era age like fine wine because they stay true to their form.
@@franciscosaldivar9737 Yea they smart then diving into that whole conmercial market. Deicide albums are never meant to blow you away anymore like Leigon. To myself its more a long the lines of "hey this is a good album" and it kicks ass. It isnt ground breaking or something off the wall new.
Always great to see interviews with Glen. 🤘🏻
I remember ordering Diecide tape very first one from blue grape music i ordered a Diecide shirt to first three albums got my vote
Everything up to Serpents Of The Light is amazing material from the golden era.
Can't wait to hear it🤘🏼🔥Cheers from Norway🤘🏼🔥🍺
Big Deicide fan. Been digging Glen’s interviews recently.
They are all leading to the interview with DA DAWG
Note: Deicide , has never had a music video at those times to be ripped on by bevis and butthead
Yeah now that I think about it I believe you're right 🤘🔪
Thats true there were no Diecide videos in those days
Right, their furst video was Scars if the crucifix, if I'm not mistaken
@@jessickalush3305 you are right

Why are there Little Debbie oatmeal cream pies in the background?
My room is a mess right now, there was no intended product plug there. lol
@@hellsunicorn I figured they were sponsoring the new Deicide tour.
He likes Oatmeal
@@kenfrederick6223 Nah, I don’t think Little Debbie wants the insinuation that they use real Jesus parts in their snacks to become a thing. 😂
Glen aint evil cause he loves his kids
Sor was ur first posssser 😆

That's why deicide remains original. They don't let outside influences. And they stay true to their sound
@@franciscosaldivar9737 Its safer that way. Right now their is a huge demand for more old school classic sounding metal. so it fits.
