I’m happy for him that he found himself and happiness but every interview I’ve seen with him he downplays what he did to Cassie and it doesn’t sit right with me.
Have you see his documentrary where her friends raked him over the coals and he owned up to everything as humbly as he could have. It's not a portion of his life he's proud of
@@daarssenI'm going to presume they didn't like many didn't because they were upset he was getting a platform after what he did to her. Despite how many times he has apologized people have every right to feel the way they feel about him and the situation. It's nice to see him living authentically and I hope he continues to be in a healthy place.
He mentioned multiple times throughout this interview that he was sorry and regretful for the way he acted when he was repressed and fighting his identity. He’s also apologized in many other forums many times now. I don’t know what more you expect him to do. And I’m sure Cassie would prefer not being a topic of discussion of his in a podcast anyway. For all you know, maybe she’s asked him not to speak on it. They’ve both moved on from it. You should too.
When Colton says that he knew he was different at the age of 6….. this makes me sad. Because not everyone is going to be the same. There are different types of boys. 1. Rough and tumble and 2. Gentle and quite. Both are okay and both are men. Neither are right or wrong. Society tells the gentle and quite guys that there is something wrong with them and because of this, the must be gay. Which is wrong!! When God made you, he knew what he was doing. Just because you are “different” doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. Every person has feminine and masculine qualities because we are all made in the image of God. Therefore, He gives us qualities of Him!! Prayers for those struggling to see their worth in their identity. ❤
God would not make him gay and then condemn homosexuality in his Word; Biblical scripture. People are not born this way. Being a quiet, gently man doesn't mean they are gay. This isn't the subject here.

I totally agree with you Macylulu! I am also a Christian and wonder if anyone has heard of generational spirits? When people comment that you can’t be born a certain way saying God wouldn’t make you that way. There is a grey area where you can be born in certain ways and that DOES NOT MEAN God made you that way or intended that for you. We live in a sinful world. For example, some babies are born deaf or blind or sick and that is also not God’s will. All these things are allowed but does not mean that was God’s perfect will. Jesus went around healing the sick, deaf and blind. So don’t rule out that a homosexual spirit can pass right from birth and don’t invalidate when these people say from a. Very young age they knew or felt different. Yes, kids this young don’t typically even think of these things and so that right there says there is something deeper at work inside these children. My husband is on the extreme gentle and non aggressive. This is his nature. But a parent needs to recognize when something is spiritually ‘normal’ and when something is spiritual off and address those things spiritually…not so much naturally. The fight is not natural, it is spiritual. It can be some people are born with certain conflicts.
From this interview, I rewatched Colton’s season. I’m so happy Colton is able to be his true self and have found love and can be free about it. As for Hannah, I love seeing how much she has grown from Colton’s season to now. Hannah was so awkward, and so careful with her words that I think held her back in expressing herself. It was so great to see Hannah come out of her shell throughout her Bachelorette journey. Happy for both of them in their journey, and how they have both grown!
The way my mouth dropped when I saw this video photo cover. Y’all both have found happiness and I love that there has been a reunion to celebrate that in a sense! Excited to see it all 💛

As a Christian, I feel that no pastor should ever say that someone isn’t loved because they are gay. Christ loves all of us who believe in him and some that don’t as well.
❤ Absolutely. Jesus loves every one. Straight, gay, whoever. It is so sad that all the confusion he went through was because of society and no one needs to go through that and be put through that. Kudos to him for coming out the other side and also sticking up for his Christian and Gay identity. Jesus loves you Colton, like he does Hannah and us all. Bless ya.❤ ❤❤❤
Exactly, how can they say that while also claiming they’ve read, understood and are knowledgeable on a text that says God loves everyone and his followers should too. Theyre using their platform of trust and as a ‘vessel’ to push their personal opinions on people and it’s so harmful and dangerous.
Loved this episode! My 2 Fav’s hands down from Bachelor Nation & I’ve been watching since Season 1!! Love you both & wish you both so much joy in this life♥️
Give the guy a break. His emotions were in turmoil at the time. He was having so many issues. I actually can empathise with him. Am glad he has found his peace.
After watching this interview, I am impressed with where you are, Colton, on your journey. While I don't know what particular "brand" of religion that you belong to, there are several open and affirming churches out there where everyone is welcome, no matter what. In my particular church we are on our second "gay" pastor, the previous one was a lesbian, and the current one is a gay man - we don't make a big deal of it, just love everyone. As a person who also feels that I am on the spectrum of gay and straight, I've always been much more attracted to the gay side, similar to you, from an early age. Now that I am a senior citizen, I'm still struggling with the idea of letting my family know what my true feelings are, but I applaud you for your ability to have traveled that journey, through good and bad and now you are in a wonderful place.
Thank you for having this important conversation. Witnessing the struggle my brothers had trying to navigate coming out as gay definitely took a toll on their mental health. They are in a great place now but it was definitely a difficult journey. Thank you for not backing down to criticism and for continuing to push the envelope and allowing these conversations to happen.
Recently on Love Island we've seen contestants experiment with their sexuality. I doubt a Bachelor or Bachelorette lead could come out as questioning, but it would be interesting to see contestants who are. I'm 55 and, in my generation and region, *openly* questioning was not a thing, but it is an interesting process and I appreciate the bravery of those who, like Colton, talk about it. Thank you for the openness, vulnerability, and sensitivity shared in this conversation, Colton and Hannah!
I’ll always find it crazy how the cast has mics cameras and a production crew right in front of them and they are able to just completely block it out like they aren’t even there 😂
There are so many denominations that are open and affirming with sexuality. Please connect with one of those denominations and share it with your public. We need to get word out that not all Christians, and not all churches are homophobes. For example, look at the united, Methodist church, and the Evangelical, Lutheran Church of America!
I did not like the manner in which Colton treated Tayshia and Hannah, the other two (2) finalists. Colton seems like a sweet man who wouldn't hurt a fly. Being Gay and Christian is a difficult problem. God clearly says homosexuality is a Sin. Being "gay" is one thing, but acting on those impulses is something else completely; and there lies the problem. We all sin. ALL OF US. We do the best we can, but when we sin, there must be repentance and asking God for forgiveness with the understanding that we are NOT to sin like that again. What is the true meaning of repentance? It is the act of leaving what God has prohibited and returning to what he has commanded. The word denotes the act of being repentant for one's misdeeds, atoning for those misdeeds, and having a strong determination to forsake those misdeeds; being Remorseful. But Colton is Living in his Sin. That is the main issue here. If he were to live a life of celibacy without acting on his gay impulses, God would forgive. Colton is obviously not remorseful and doesn't acknowledge God's word on this subject. True Christians don't behave this way. Yes, God loves us. Jesus preached Love above all else. He is a loving God, but he is also a just God, who gave us very clear instructions on how we are to live our lives.
