What an amazing video!! As a Viewer - I REALLY want to visit Melbourne now, I need to try that cafe and croissant shop. We started getting "fancy croissants" in Vancouver, so the most I've paid for a croissant was $6.50CAD which is apparently pretty much $7AUD LOL I love that there is so many artwork around the city, and you can cruise down the river in a boat. When you said you liked Fusion food, I was surprised because like you said "not many places do it well" 😂😂So I tend to stay away from them. Again, amazing video! Def using this video as a reference when I plan my trip :) As a UA-camr - Girl, you KILLED it. I can't imagine the work it took to make this video - the planning, the script, getting footage, the b-rolls, and you filmed by yourself in the day too! Good job! I love how you used still images and stock videos in certain scenes, and kept the video engaging throughout (I need to work on this) Great job, Elaine!! Hehehe
Tifaaaaa! Thanks for the biggest compliment I've received so far in my YT journey😍🙏🙏! So glad u found it engaging, I tried lol There is not only fancy pants food in melb, but so much decent cheap eats too! You know who to msg when you're in town✌️✌️ Thanks for your support and watching my video x
Another excellent one Elaine! I should've watched this before commenting on the last video. Of course you've had a borek from QVM. 😂 I think we went to Rice, Paper, Scissors when we first moved to Melbourne, and yeah, it was very good. I will go out on a limb here and say many of the coffees I've had in Melbourne have been underwhelming - especially from the big well known hipster places. They're weak and luke warm. So we just buy our own beans these days. Funnily enough the places overseas we've been to that have copied Melbourne coffee culture are making better coffee. Pity we have to spend thousands to get a good coffee. 😂 Lune croissants are very good but really overpriced. I learned to make croissants from UA-cam and we really like them. But when we got hold of Kate's book and made her croissant recipe they went next level. I don't make them enough but I can make 8 or so croissants for a couple of bucks as opposed to 1 of Lune's for 8 bucks. 😂 Funnily enough the best croissants we've ever had were from the shop in Paris where Kate learned how to make croissants. They were 1 euro each. If you're going to Paris at any stage it is Du Pain et des Idées. Melbourne is a pretty cool town and you showcased it marvellously.
There are honestly so many hidden gems in the burbs too, hoping to do a video for those one day (my backlog is just ever growing lol)! Your kiddos are so blessed with 2 Master Chefs at home! If you open a croissant shop, I'd drop by to get a dozen! One of my bucket list items is to go to learn baking/cooking in France, I will probably stick with UA-cam for now haa :D
Which of these places you'd most definitely go for your upcoming trip to Melbourne?🚶♀🚶♂🚶
