- Ferdinand Küchler (1867-1937) violin concerto opus 11 (1st position) violin + piano
piano part : imslp.eu/files/...
violin part : imslp.org/imgl...
Movement 1 : Allegro moderato
Movement 2 : Andante
Movement 3 : Rondo
What a great piece for beginner violinists! Everything can be played in the first position and nothing is too technically difficult. My son plays piano and I've been learning violin for a few months, and I think this would be a great piece for us to play together.
Any progress? If no then that's a reminder :)
@@hassansoliman970 Yes, actually! I've pretty much got the first movement down and I'm working on the second movement now. =) I've shown the piece to my son's piano teacher, and she thinks he should be able to learn the piano part.
@@Moohasha1 This is adorable! God Bless you and your family. You might want to consider "Amy Beach romance for violin and the piano", it's very advanced yes, but its an excellent target to set :)
I wanna ask about is this ok for a grade 7 player?? I am a grade 7 player, but idk if I’ll do fine lol...
@@aliciacharlene2442 Regardless of your age or grade, if you've been playing violin for more than 6-8 months I think you'll do fine. It's all first position without any tricky techniques. It has lots of scales and arpeggios, so it's pretty easy to learn.
I had the whole week to practice the first 30 measures, and know I gotta learn it in about 2 hours 😌 everything’s great

I have also not done formal classes for violin by i am seriously doing this piece. it has kept me busy in the lock down as a violin learner
Beautiful, have been playing the violin for 2 months now and my teacher just gave me this piece to play. Loving it!
Yes it is the sort of real beginner piece you'd tackle in the first couple of weeks.
@@PreservationEnthusiast maybe not so soon with good results.
@@PreservationEnthusiastfirst couple weeks? You know this is a. Hard instrument right
@@evan1430 Yes, I play it. This is a very trivial beginner piece. It's the sort of thing one could play, just making it up on the spot.
@@PreservationEnthusiast I can guarantee you no beginner will be playing this in the first month of playing the violin
Magnífico, gran ayuda para mi hijo Jorge que acaba de cumplir 9 años y la está estudiando. Muchas gracias!!!
Yo digo lo mismo solo que yo soy la hija xd
i have 3 moths learning the violin and I've been practicing this piece for weeks... I've finished all the movements, but I have to improve my intonation and pay more attention in some passages and I also dont know how to do the vibrato yet, but it's a fun piece to practice
The vibrato has taken me a while , only started to take the vibrato seriously a year ago. Intonation seems to be something that can always be worked on . Luck :-)
Oh nice me too! I started in April. I've been playing rieding's violin concerto in b minor which is also very fun to play. All in first position
Rimlight I finally listened to the Itzak Perlman performance of the Rieding B minor . Beautiful tone. The cool thing is if you start to get the vibrato going , & in general improve the bowing on long notes , all those "boring " pieces with the 'long' notes start to be real interesting 😀
o quê?! 3 meses e já tocando isso? você é uma prodígio!!! essa peça normalmente é tocada lá pros 2 anos de estudos no mínimo seguindo uma rotina constante e diária. Parabéns se você toca ela mesmo! :v
@@ElsweyrDiego Ta certinho , parece deprisso ..
I stopped playing violin 2 years ago and made a switch to classical guitar and then electric, i always had this urge to start playing violin again. After my midterms i'll pick up my violin and gonna start again. I'll keep playing my electric and classical too, it's gonna be kind of challenging but going to give it a shot.
A fine example of what a good musician can do with a technically very easy piece that is entirely in the first position (open strings are used frequently).
beautiful!! absolutely beautiful. Crap...I haven’t practice 40 hours enough...
another two-setter I see
Another Ling-ling wannabe!🤗
This is the first piece TwoSet sight reading in the video “Sight Reading Race”!
yes!
Oh yeah!
Gr8 one for beginners. If I get perfect at playing the 1st part I'll play it to my grandma 2mrw for her b'day
💞
My first big piece. After 9 years, My heart is melting ❤

lol me too😂
nice open string work !!
What a wonderful piece
Beautiful. I have to learn this for my teacher
7:07 may be easier to start in third position, 2nd finger on A (🎼E)
V indicates an upward, anti-downward bow (important in orchestral play) stroke, similar to the crescendos these indications need to be attended to thru-out
descrescendo 🔊🔉🔈
Learning this currently in grade 3. ^^ By the way, this is amazing. ♥
I am playing it and I’m in 1st
@TheRomanian Judge
It's more like grade 1. Something you'd learn in the first few weeks. Very trivially easy.
@ShKhari2 Nothing difficult though. All first position, simple key, easy rhythm, not too fast. It's like one if those Oskar Reiding pieces. They all end in a flurry of quavers with doubled notes and two dramatic chords as though something awesome just happened when in fact nothing has!
@ShKhari2 One can't play the Tchaikovsky concerto only in the first position so your comment does not make sense. Admittedly there are other things which make a piece tricky. Tempo, key, double stopping, harmonics, string crossing etc etc, but I mentioned some of those and this piece contains non of them to any degree.
It maybe not totally standard for people to play this after a few weeks but there are plenty of Koreans who get thrashed to practice by their tiger parents who could knock a trivial piece like this out in short order.
As for being a gatekeeper, I will call it as I see it. The You Tube viewers want to see the truth. I will tell people what is trivial or crap or tricky or brilliant and people will be all the better for it!

Luna Black Arryn #fun or are you laughing while playing it
@@auurastaorsteinsdottir3427 This piece is so easy to play, you could play it underwater with your hands behind your back while taking a nap.
I don't see the point of it. Far too simple and no memorable themes. It's the kind of thing one could improvise on the spot.
SteamLocoScrapper I don’t see your point
Wow this is beautiful
I Love playing this piece on violin 🎻
I’ve been playing this piece for 3 days straight non stop and loved I don’t play violin However, I play with my Flute.. there are few note is low register I make exceptions for low or middle octaves (flute). I would like to play this very soon. (recording). Flutist is beautiful piece when I do dynamic and expressive( interpretation feeling).
Beautiful and amazingly simple. Good piece for sight reading, I had fun learning it.
thanks

Working on this piece right now. (Which is why I looked up this video). I seem to have the same sheet music too as it has the same violinist notations. :)
