Definitely the most "OG" lorde sounding track. Perfect blend of Pure Heroine, Melodrama, and solar power, even a bit of bravado EP vibes in the punchy instrumental loop and pitch changes. Cannot wait for more music 🎶

this song perfectly describes the theme of the album - letting go of the past and moving forward. probably the strongest track on the record, but I get why it was on the deluxe.
the line “im acting my age, not my horoscope… guess it’s growing up” is so funny but true. a lot of people really base their personality based on what zodiac sign they have.
...or based on their Meyers-Briggs personality test result. 😌

When she released Melodrama, I was 17, I was confused mostly,... It was the final year of high school, and overall it was chaotic, somehow the perfect blend of happiness and sadness I went thru that year found reflection in Melodrama. Now, Im 22, she released SP last year and it was the perfect album once again because at the time, I was growing and keep reflecting while finding out what I love. It was a year of growing up. Yeah, im 22, but I dont feel like an adult yet, just in a weird space of not being an adult and not teenager anymore,... College life. I found my passion, I keep reflecting, lost control sometimes, gained back, but im happier, much better than where I stood before, and I think its gonna get better. hope youre having a fine day today to whoever reading 👋🌞

This reminds me of the time I was coming back from the Saharian desert on my own on the bus at night, listening to this song. It was a very long drive and I was watching the starry night from the windows feeling this sense of peace about my life, wherever it was heading towards. It was like watching a movie scene. It reminds me particularly of a strawberry juice the man who was sitting besides me bought for me at one of the stops. Moments like this you can only experience completely alone. It's a very treasured and human memory.
