fascism in Italy was never beaten, in part, because they never underwent a crackdown like that in Germany, not even a trial like the Japanese war criminals suffered. There was no reckoning with the worst crimes of Italian fascism, which weren't committed in Europe but against Africans. Their sufferings were brushed under the carpet, and barely get remembered. The italian bourgeoisie was able to change the narrative of Italy from being one of the builders of fascism, to simply becoming it's victim.

@@endTHEhegemony_Today sorry for the late reply. "NATO's secret armies: Operation Gladio and Terrorism in Western Europe." By Daniel Ganser is the book
Gladio style secret stay behind armies operated in all of capitalist Europe, even allegedly neutral countries like Austria, Switzerland and Finland. Historian Daniele Ganser wrote a great overview book about that, very worth reading
Here in Latin America we had something similar regarding CIA meddling and neo fascists groups. It was called called Operation Condor and it basically was a alliance of the reactionary status quo and the US pentagon that would quash any revolutionary left wing partisans who dared to oppose the despotism inherent in our politics. This was achieved specially well in the south where political "stability" and neo fascist anti communist consensus of tyrannies of the 20th century allowed for a level of cooperation to be achieved. All members of the OP had their own government sanctioned Fascist Death Squads. The Argentines specifically had their own called La Triple A which supposedly collaborated with your Italian Propaganda Due "friends". This is batsh*t insane. Thanks for your horrifying video!
Ohhh, wasn't there a branch-off of this that did effectively the same thing to French socialist / communist movements? I seem to recall that also being a thing...
And Turkey, with Operation Counter Guerilla, amongst many others. They were given separate operation names in each nation, Gladio was Italy's. These were supposedly stay behind networks in case of a Soviet invasion, however it was clear that wasn't going to happen, and they were instead used for the so called "strategy of tension" inside Italy at least, and quite likely others. Check out NATO: Secret Armies
Yep. We even see later examples of this model in Operation Cyclone during the 90s. The US funded right-wing, religious fanatics in the Middle East to suppress socialist movements and justify invasions that would exploit many countries’ resources. Before 9/11, some US newspapers even praised some of these terrorists and called them “freedom fighters” because they were fighting against the Soviet Union.

When I learned it initially, I was surprised but after learning more about it, it’s just a trend for them, Would you do similar one for the Japanese as well? As things aren’t better there imo, or there’s a better idea and more interesting video in the making? Also, Do you consider having BGM?, not the cheap kind for the thrills but something calm, maybe classical music to go along with the narration? But it can also create distraction which is certainly not good.
I am definitely very interested to do a video on that! I am trying to find a good balance with music, I don't wanna use it too often bc for a lot of people it gets harder to focus. I have to try things out, classical music I definitely love and could use it sometimes!
I saw your video about Turkey. I'd love a separate video like this about Turkish Gladio and the Gulen movements work for CIA in Turkey and Central Asia as well. I don't know if there's enough documentation like the Italian case, but I heard about Sibel Edmonds and stuff. Some of her stuff was kinda kooky, but there was also many facts. Would be very interesting.
This was a great video. I just want ask what do you think of the PCI as a party considering it's been mentioned a lot throughout this series so far. Was it a good communist party in your view?
Thank you! I think the PCI was reformist, not a big fan of Togliatti. Already before the world war many mistakes stemmed from the reformist line of the PSI. There were many anti-revisionists in Italy, a shame their line didn't grow more dominant.
Bordiga and Gramsci were the only revolutionary leaders the party ever had. After them, Togliatti, especially after 1956, led the party to reformism. Genuine revolutionaries such as Pietro Secchia failed to stop him. The reformist line reached its peak with Berlinguer and eurocommunism, and eventually in 1991 the party was liquidated.
As an Italian, I can say that this is a good video, my congratulations. I would have just specified more that the Christian Democracy (the party that governed Italy in those years) was an antifascist party, and its founders (like Alcide De Gasperi) were profoundly against fascism, as proved by the Scelba's law of 1952. Also, some of its members were victims of the system you described (let's remember the Moro case for example). There were also some members that were not really antifascists or had affairs with the Mafia but this was typical of almost every party in italian history
I believe the way in which Mussolini was executed and paraded worked in the advantage of Neo-Fascists. It triggers a response. For someone who is not politically conscious, it would allure one to the fascist cause. It triggers an emotional response. This is where the Communist movement lost all hope in Italy. Though, I myself believe in Marxism, I cannot have faith in mass movements just because of incidents like these, as originally seen in October Revolution and so forth. The rabble has tainted an idea focused on humanism and leading the world forward. Thank you selaci, or katunars.
You are wrong. The italian communist party (PCI) had massive popular support till the 80s. The Cia killed Eurocommunism, not the lack of support or any sympathies for Mussolini's death.
in order to make your videos a little more digestable, maybe consider using less names of the people who are less important to the outline of the video. i feel like trying to remember each and every name in the case they might show up requires a high attention which in turn can make it harder to follow. for example the name of the anarchist who was "suicided" etc.
also i feel like the music can be a bit too loud to a point where it can disrupt the listening experience. otherwise i really like your videos and appreciate the work you put into them!
For people who read up on CIA meddling in global affairs it's fairly common knowledge I think. And while it was in the headlines everywhere in the 90s, I don't think it's common knowledge amg the broader population outside Italy, no.
Hello would you mind to change the initial image that appears once I post the video? It doesnt seem a well referenced document but one of the many complotist videos…
@jessynixx lol you're funny, now please sit down and let the adults converse. Clearly, you have zero knowledge of history or political/economic systems. Fascism and Communism both end in authoritarianism. The political spectrum is circle not a straight line with extreme ends. What's the difference between Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia? Where does the term Nazi come from? Now talk to people who have lived and experienced either. Same thing dressed up differently. Pepsi and Coke.
The liberalism is going wild. Horseshoe theory is trash. Mussolini himself said that facsism is the opposite of communism. But ofc you dont care for actual facts and reading books but only rely on feelings from a mainstream narrative

as a Turkish citizen, i am really surprised what you stated at 23:34
Yeah they were also involved with US meddling there against the Turkish left. Quite brutally so
Very good video, do you plan on making a video on the history of Japanese fascism at some point?
I have it in my list!
Second time in a row that I don't get your new video in my sub box or get a notification.
Bes D. Marx my beloved ❤️
👍
what you describe as something out of assassin's creed actually happened in spain too, just without freemasons and having begun a few years earlier
✊✊✊✊🚩
How could have the PCI remained reformist when they where being attacked from every imaginable front?!
I take-ah the money from da CIA! I fund-ah da fascist groups! Mama mia! Pizza-pie!
Almeno scrivi mamma mia con 2 M
Look at that last picture of the people saluting around the flag. They're mostly old white men, it's always old white men who are standing in way.
That is not a spicey meatball
What happened to part 1???
The alpine lodge...
thumbnail got me looking for the Part 1 😵
I can’t find part 1
As an Italian, I can say that this is a good video, my congratulations. I would have just specified more that the Christian Democracy (the party that governed Italy in those years) was an antifascist party, and its founders (like Alcide De Gasperi) were profoundly against fascism, as proved by the Scelba's law of 1952. Also, some of its members were victims of the system you described (let's remember the Moro case for example). There were also some members that were not really antifascists or had affairs with the Mafia but this was typical of almost every party in italian history
Berlinguer e Moro, quando l'Italia ancora aveva politici di spessore... guarda come siamo messi oggi, a partire dalla "sinistra" :-(

Oh shit thanks, changed that.
Wow can i enter the circle ?
Freemasons are open to all applicants, but you need a referral.
I like your vidéos but I would really not recommend putting music in the background it is distracting
in order to make your videos a little more digestable, maybe consider using less names of the people who are less important to the outline of the video. i feel like trying to remember each and every name in the case they might show up requires a high attention which in turn can make it harder to follow. for example the name of the anarchist who was "suicided" etc.
maybe thats just me but i thought i might share my opinion of a viewers perspective so you could evaluate. :)
also i feel like the music can be a bit too loud to a point where it can disrupt the listening experience. otherwise i really like your videos and appreciate the work you put into them!
Most definitely, I've worried about this too in hindsight, will keep this in mind for future videos, thanks!
Thanks!! Other people said the same, will improve on this!
This isn't common knowledge right?
For people who read up on CIA meddling in global affairs it's fairly common knowledge I think. And while it was in the headlines everywhere in the 90s, I don't think it's common knowledge amg the broader population outside Italy, no.
Hello would you mind to change the initial image that appears once I post the video? It doesnt seem a well referenced document but one of the many complotist videos…
facism and communism is the exact same net result under a different name.
What is the "net result"
Come back after you finish highschool.
@@nerrler5574 authoritarianism
Can you make a video about the yankee intervention in the portuguese revolution ?
hmmm4_4 Goood show kinda nice
