Hey Tyler, I have had some great experiences with casting angles. On one particular day I was fishing a bank on a lake when the water was very low compared to normal pool. I could see a submerged very large boulder ahead of me. I made a bunch of casts (spinner bait) and never got a bite. I then moved past the boulder and casted back to it from the other side (still casting deep to shallow) and caught 5 small mouth bass on 6 casts. The fish were clearly there but the way they were relating to the rock, if you weren’t casting from a specific angle, you would never get bit.

Thanx Tyler. You probably should have showed these younger guys what a marker buoy looks like.

If it makes it any easier for you I’m from New Hampshire and fish a lot of lakes here Massachusetts,Vermont, Maine and have gone to lake Champlain.
