Instead of showing a continuous 12-1 run, I'll present a theoretical 3-star clear by combining footage from 12-1-1 and 12-1-2, which together have a combined time of around 2 minutes and 56-57 seconds. what neuvillette team did you use? i tried again using arlecchino vape first half and neuvi taser (just neuvi, furina, kazuha, fischl) and managed to clear 9*
dont worry. I rarely go past floor 11. I maybe try once or twice for floor 12. I’ll take whatever i got at the end of the run. Not finishing abyss with 36* is absolutely okay. I play genshin just to have fun, and not stressing myself over doing the same thing over and over again. Its not like anyone gonna be mad at you for not completing abyss with full star or dealing a trillion dmg
When I saw you use Anemo Traveler on the last chamber, I was convinced this took many tries. As I checked the comments, goodness gracious 1727 resets??? 20 resets already make my blood boil and stop. I can't imagine 100, not even a thousand

You are amazing, I myself needed 206 resets for 12-1 with my 5 stars. There is is so much RNG involved: if drakes get resistance before you kill them you might as well reset, if samachurl stuns you with his vines you might as well reset, if lector doesn't stagger and gets pushed to another fast enough you might as well reset, if they get separated during shield phase you, if serpent knight do random stuff etc... THIS IS INSANE CHAMBER. Congrats on clearing, even a theoretical clear is impressive

This really shows the importance of both positioning and some of the mechanics that don't get a lot of attention, such as the knockback provided by abilities like Kaeya's Burst. Not gonna lie, needing to consider stuff like that actually appeals to me personally because it's like a puzzle hehe it scratches my brain in all the right ways All the best with your thesis! Learning how to group the enemies without a dedicated grouper (even then some might be too heavy) is definitely one of the biggest skill expression imo. One thing I always look for now is if the enemies have any mobility skill or not and plan the grouping accordingly.
The run was breathtaking but also the editing lol. Let me breathe for a while after a chamber clear, I was already holding my breath after the amazing clear but then it never stops! Sorry for the nitpick, keep up the god's work!

I cleared without issues, but I know damn well if I tried something like this, I would throw my computer out of the window lmao. Huge kudos to you
Freeze and the aoe of the blooms really work perfectly together. But even then, it requires immense luck. I myself went through 633 attempts to finally be finished with this abyss. I first achieved 36 stars earlier, but unfortunately my ego got in the way and made me do it again to try and convince myself that luck didn't play a major factor. I may not be as dedicated as you, but I wanted to let you know you are not alone. I hope you are doing well after all this.
@StillQiqiless I typically see it used in speedrunning. For context, if you open the handbook, everything in the game pauses except for particle movement and I think the character switching cooldown. This is what’s referred to as booking.
@@Yelan-n8d if you open any menu when you are playing in abyss you can skip cd from switch characters, pauses the time but particles movement still, and you can also get better uptime from bufffs like bennetts Q or noblesse any buff you can get better uptime because when you skip particle animation plus the cd of switch a character you gain a lot of seconds is cheating because you are gaining fakes times also play with less energy recharge and getting better uptime from buffs

I don't understand why so many people still insisting that Genshin is a p2w. Even if in the abyss you get 33☆ instead of 36☆ you only lose 50 primogems... Literally thats even less than missing 1 daily quest reward. Abyss aside, the whole content is 100% free
36 star is what considered achievment, literal achievment and not in-game achievment. Its not really cleared if it not 36 star yet. The whole idea of you just lose 50 primo doesn't matter AT ALL here. People that are combat oriented want to complete their abyss. Not farming primogem on the abyss.
@@storagecrafter5701 I'm not pretty sure if the game is combat oriented since the events are 50% Story 40% Collecting ballons/coins and 10% combat Also the game is 90% Story/Hidden lore quests and 10% Farming domains wich can be cleared in 10-20 second(and i'm being generous) and then the Abyss wich floor 9-10-11 are just a tutorial and the real Abyss is just 12th floor And no, exploration has almost 0 combat focus since most of the chests can be taken just by using any Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo and a 1 or 2 Swirls from Kazuha. It doesnt even count

To be honest, there’s hasn’t been one optimal rotation that works for every situation. I slightly change the rotations based on the situation and manage my resources as efficiently as possible.
Thanks, 👍! You don’t lose the stars you’ve earned when you reset the entire Spiral Abyss run. I ended the run at 12-2, exited the Spiral Abyss to change Traveler from Dendro to Anemo, and entered the Spiral Abyss again to start an entirely new run.

Thanks, 👍! I haven’t considered doing anything other than Melt Amber and Starter Characters Only content mainly because there are really the only things I’m interested in to be honest. A second reason is that I’m in graduate school, so trying to balance UA-cam and school work is already extraordinarily challenging, especially given that I still have to work on that M.S. thesis through summer break.
I haven’t seen anyone pull this off before, but liilli (the only other starter characters player that still does these types of runs) has made attempts with C0 starters and only R1 Favonious Warbow with craftable weapons. The best they achieved was 5 stars in floor 12, mainly because of the lack of energy from not having more Favonious weapons.

This is what i love about genshin and other hoyo games compared to Wuwa. There are always options you can try and you can work out a strategy. In wuwa the combat is more rigid and reactive. Its just swap to get this buff and swap to get another buff. There is no freedom and thinking outside the box.

They took over 1,700 resets. And this is not a continuous run but rather 3 different footages stitched together. So yes, it’s almost impossible to complete 36* with 4 stars.

Its no longer 50 primos, last 3 stars reward is 100 now. 200 in total in each floor but resets only per months

for me the hardest abyss is in 2.0 or something? i don't have raiden at that time but it's the er mechanic that ticks me off hshah

I’d say it was somewhere around 20 hours of attempts split among 5 days with lots of breaks in between

Thanks, 👍! You don’t lose the stars you’ve earned when you reset the entire Spiral Abyss run. I ended the run at 12-2, exited the Spiral Abyss to change Traveler from Dendro to Anemo, and entered the Spiral Abyss again to start an entirely new run.

Thanks, 👍! Unfortunately, I think it’s unlikely this video will blow up. From what I’ve noticed in past videos, posting my video on the first day of the Spiral Abyss iteration tends to gain the most traction. I posted about 4 days late and it got way less traction in the algorithm.

A second reason is that I’m in graduate school, so trying to balance UA-cam and school work is already extraordinarily challenging, especially given that I still have to work on that M.S. thesis through summer break.

I haven’t seen anyone pull this off before, but liilli (the only other starter characters player that still does these types of runs) has made attempts with C0 starters and only R1 Favonious Warbow with craftable weapons. The best they achieved was 5 stars in floor 12, mainly because of the lack of energy from not having more Favonious weapons.

liilli has some uses for both Hydro and Electro Traveler, but so far there hasn’t been a situation where it’s best to use them unfortunately

This is what i love about genshin and other hoyo games compared to Wuwa. There are always options you can try and you can work out a strategy.
In wuwa the combat is more rigid and reactive. Its just swap to get this buff and swap to get another buff. There is no freedom and thinking outside the box.

I was getting a little bored with c6 4 stars runs... but the explanations really helped. I didnt know collei should build for damage instead of EM.
I didn’t really build Collei for damage specifically. Rather, I focused on building more ER% to make sure I had her burst up as often as possible.

My bad, I worded that weirdly. I meant that as in ER% is a priority but I’ll still try to build offensive stats on her if possible.

lmao i just saw a video explaning why this abyss is almost impossible to complete 36*, and after that youtube recommended me your video
They took over 1,700 resets. And this is not a continuous run but rather 3 different footages stitched together. So yes, it’s almost impossible to complete 36* with 4 stars.
