El Mosquito’s slight stature, speed, finesse and ability to conjure winning strokes from nothing was impressive and his willingness to improve on other surfaces was rewarded to a rise at #1 in the world! I was very young at time and i liked his game very much!
He was such a great player, world number 1, 1 French Open and finalist at the US Open too, 4 Masters titles. Such a shame that he was never the same from 2004 on.
Such a shame that Ferrero and Kuerten had a short career due to injuries. It'd be amazing to have them playing against Rafa on Clay for a few years more.

I never understood the whole "weak era" notion. Wonderful players like Lleyton Hewitt, Andre Agassi, Gustavo Kuerten, Ferrero, Nadal, Federer, and even Ivanisevic for a bit were a part of that era in tennis, in case you've forgotten.
@@kenny5311 the whole weak era argument is really stupid, but Ivanisevic never belonged to the same era as Roger and Nadal, after he won Wimbledon in 2001(when he was already considered way past his prime) he never did anything else until he retired in 2004.
Truly an overrated player. No real weapon, powerless stricks, thought managed somehow to win a GS. Lucky was he having his peak before true players' revealing.
Other joker that not have tennis idea😂😂. The forehand Ferrero is a best to modern era tennis, the drop shots is incredible, passing shots amazing . If you love tennis, you must like Juan Carlos Ferrero, an amazing player!
