Muse love to play intro and outro riffs before and after songs. Sometimes they’ll play riffs from their own songs, usually b-sides, and sometimes they’ll play riffs from their favorite bands and bands that inspired them-like Nirvana, or RATM. That’s what they were doing after the song here.
Goosebumps every time I hear this song, I love it, I fell in love the very firts moment I heard it. I love so much the mix of desperation and hopelessness in their lyrics (especially their early songs)… they were the soundtrack of my 20s, and still are my favourite living band ❤️
That was the first time I'd ever seen MUSE and I was hooked at once! Their music is done to absolute perfection. You really ought to read up as to how they actually put on their shows, they have their own crew and go everywhere together along with a massive road crew!
first outro is actually a riff of their b-side song from uprising single titled "Who Knows Who" ft. The Streets, not a tweaked Heartbreaker Riff as some people said in the comments.
As far as I'm aware dom Howard (the drummer) doesn't sing. It's be great if you could listen to the handler by muse, it's got some wicked guitar riffs with fantastic lyrics as per usual
You should react to showbiz, muscle museum, micro cuts, space dementia, Darkshines, the globalist. It’s insane how good they are especially during their live performances.
Another great reaction, I know you don't want to flood your channel with a single artist, do not forget about us Muse Fans! Recommendation "Citizen erased Live" or new born live as well
My 2nd favourite Muse track, you should download it immediately - and you can hear all the intricate Electronic & Piano sounds in the studio version. 2006 was it's release date. :) -Also you can buy/download their latest tour (Simulation Theory) on their website, it's unreal. Like a movie.
paused at 3:52, just to let you know you have me appreciation an sub for your loyalty to me favorite band, I really appreciate it bro, keep up the good work. now then how good are they.... it's amazing watching someone just enjoy this band and you do a magnificent job hearing and understanding what's happening, thanks bro 🤜
Muse have always been the number 1 anti NWO band! Seen them twice at Wembley stadium London and reading festival. No one comes anywhere near them live!
The first riff after the song is Led Zeppelins Heartbreaker riff but tweaked. The 2nd riff is the riff used for Rage Against The Machines cover of Bob Dylan’s Maggies Farm. The drummer can’t sing but he used to do the backing vocals to Supermassive Black Hole in a robotic voice. Also the first time the drummer (Dom) did backing vocals was for the Muse cover of Andy Williams Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You. The only reason they even covered that song was because the drummer claimed he could do the backing vocals to that. Also the best version of Map Of The Problematique is Glastonbury 2010 and then after that Wembley 2007.
one of my favorite Muse songs for sure, so thanks for doing that. I just feel that the heavy distorted guitar doesn't sound as good as other live versions of this. I prefer the Wembley version, goes its a bit brighter and feels more upbeat, while this version sounds like the drones album, which actually was released the year before
All I know is that Dom wasn't able to sing in tune when they recorded Blackout. So they took his vocals out from the track. Oh wells maybe he can only sing certain songs. Thanks for clarifying guys!
@@miralex67 Pretty sure he's using some form of vocoder, like Morgan does. There's also a very clear vocal backing track there (Matt's voice is obviously identifiable).
Have you listened to the studio version? In all honesty I was a little disappointed with it when it first came out. The intro is amazing, but I feel like it never really builds on it - same 4-chord progression the entire song. Off the back of Origin and Absolution, and then having already heard Knights of Cydonia, which were all much more progressive in nature, it was a bit of a letdown. That being said they have mentioned that this song was built more around a particular sound they were trying to achieve, as opposed to the composition. That’s something much more obvious in the studio version.
I have heard the recorded version the other day and enjoyed it, this album is the only one I have listened to most of the songs so far. But to each their own I suppose.
@@scottanderson81 Yeah don’t get me wrong, I like it, and it did grow on me a lot since those first few listens. It was just relatively formulaic compared to everything that they’d done before. Of course since then their style has evolved massively anyway and I’ve come to appreciate how well they do almost any type of music. They were my absolute favourite band then and they’re still up there today.

and the outro riffs are the same special riffs for specific songs
Underrated information!
Goosebumps every time I hear this song, I love it, I fell in love the very firts moment I heard it. I love so much the mix of desperation and hopelessness in their lyrics (especially their early songs)… they were the soundtrack of my 20s, and still are my favourite living band ❤️
Easily one of my favs from them so far!!
Same , it’s in my top 5 of theirs to this day and I don’t think it gets enough recognition
My favorite Muse song!
Mine, too. Always has been. And it's REALLY hard to pick a favorite among so many exceptional pieces of music from them.
Mine too…
Please react to Muse - Plug In Baby - Live At Rome Olympic Stadium you gonna love it!

Dom make the vocoder parts in supermassive black hole
He also sings in the globalist. I don't remember where but you can see it if you watch a live performance
The globalist and Supermassive
best rock-opera band literally my fave
Wow, another insanely good song, one of my favs so far, what is your fav from this album :)
Take a bow live from Wembley, Assassin live from Mayan
Assassin. You should watch and react to their performance of the song live at the Mayan Theater. I also love Take a Bow, the opener to this album.

For me best version is in Wembley. This one is one of the weakest. Check it out.
Supermassive black hole, Starlight, Invincible, Exo politics. This is my favourite muse album
Another great reaction, I know you don't want to flood your channel with a single artist, do not forget about us Muse Fans! Recommendation "Citizen erased Live" or new born live as well
He did new born
Oh yeah, my bad, Well Citizen Erased or Time is running out ;)
This was Glastonbury festival again.. they have there 3 times headlining, 2004, 2010 and this 2016

Matt is singing “ loneliness be over” “when will this lonliness be over”

Thank you so much, appreciate the kind words and your support :)
My favorite song of all time, let's go
I was at this gig just to the right at the front. 5th time seeing them. unreal 👏
That is awesome 👏
Brilliant 😍
Muse have always been the number 1 anti NWO band! Seen them twice at Wembley stadium London and reading festival. No one comes anywhere near them live!
Please reacts to their performances of Bliss from Reading 2011 and Showbiz from Reading 2017. Two of my absolute favourite ones

First outro was led zeppelin- heart breaker the 2nd one was ratm's cover of bob Dylan's Maggie's farm
Well this is my favourite muse drumbeat
Mattness ❤️ Wolstenbeast 💪 Domazing 👌

Please I beg you to react to The Smiths - I Know It's Over Live version
Dom sing in two songs, The Globalist and supermassive black hole
Aftermath on Drones too springs to mind. He’s added as a layer on perhaps others.., not ever as a stand out alone voice tho
Hahahaha Dom the drummer can't sing. Once they recorded him singing backups and they were like.... uhmmm maybe not.
Only time I heard him is in these vocals at the same concert ua-cam.com/video/Cfs9D0HjaGQ/v-deo.html
Dom does the vocals for the globalist doesn’t he?
