I played this one and TMNT 2 a lot in the mid 1990's .... having a best friend over and completing them together was a trip! Great times and great games. New games with the best graphics possible don't even beat these classics.
Out of all the TMNT games (Arcades included), this game right here is my absolute favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game of all time. It just had everything in it, from beautifully detailed 8-bit levels that the NES could muster in its time, absolutely terrific and memorable soundtrack of music (Bridge of Danger level 3 being my favorite, and the rooftop level fight theme being my second favorite, then the boss theme Crazy Attack being third favorite), and an assortment of standout bosses from both the TV Cartoon show of the 80’s, Comics and the live action movie sequel, and finally the Turtles all have special attacks that make each one of them different in their own way. My only flaw with this game was wishing it was 4-players during it’s time and wishing that you could fight Bebop and Rocksteady together at the same time after defeating them in their first respectable encounters in a later level, as well as Tokka and Razar after their first respectable encounters too. That would have been cool, but other than that, this game is an absolute masterpiece of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game and beat em up game in general, it’s replay value is through the roof and sadly this was the pinnacle of the greatest time for the TMNT franchise and fanbase. I could argue that SNES/Arcade Version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV Turtles in Time was the final home run for the franchise and sadly after that, our heroes in a half shell medium would slowly start trekking downhill from that point on 😔, and it was sad to live through, but positively euphoric to be there as a young kid fan during the start of the rise to popularity and fame and unforgettable memories that will forever live with each and every one of us now. Despite all the bad things going on now in the current era of time, and the badly manufactured and corporate era of video games and toxic fans that try to manipulate people into either becoming a fan like them to these new video games, or simply written off as a hater that doesn’t deserve to live in their eyes, just for simply disagreeing with them and not particularly liking the video games out now or the direction that most franchises in gaming are going nowadays. Despite all the sad downfall of modern video games in today’s realistic looking video game era, we still live on in this new world with our great past memories of these retro video games and the joy they brought us and the world, every one of us has a special assortment of memories from this era of gaming that make us happy and always linger in our mind as a time where everything made sense, everything was fun, everyone was fun and understanding and it is why people still talk about these times, and modern video game developers try to replicate the formula and style of these times but just can’t, although I could argue that there are view that do actually replicate it perfectly and create standout video games, but those developers are very very rare in these modern times. Ahhh sweet memories. Probably didn't score too many points though as I used mainly Raphael and whenever my health got down to 1 bar I kept on spamming his special move (A+B). I miss those simple times :)

This is what my life was like growing up in the mid and late 90's: we get up,big brother goes to school,me and younger sister would either help mom clean or go shopping for grocery's or nesseccary needs that day, come home mom cooks dinner, brother and dad come home. family eats wonderful meal mom cooks then afterwards my brother would throw his homework on the bed and me him and sometimes our sister would spend hours beating this or Mario Bros before the game randomly went out. the good peaceful.
This game was way more fun to play all the way through than any Arcade versions of TMNT. Even though the graphics obviously couldn't compete. It had great music for 8-Bit, Way more unique levels that didn't exist in the Arcade versions, good RPG-like story, and something about the TMNT and the NES that just goes together well.
This was my dream game of childhood. I don't have a video game and I used to watch it on my uncle's home and sometimes gets the chance to play it. When I got the video game, i didn't knew the name of this game and I never got the chance to play it on my own. I researched a lot about this game but never found it, today I got this video and it made me recall the game and my childhood. Thanks for sharing it ❤️
This was the most fun game of all time for me 😂 those adventures were felt real and all the bosses had different powers it was real awesome back in those days
There was a "special attack" move that each of the turtles did by pressing two buttons together on the control. It was the Sword Spin for Leo. My favourite, though, was Raphael's drill attack, and with that, I'd beat Super Shredder. My sister would use Michaelangelo's Kangaroo Kick, and we'd beat the bast*rd! 😂 I'm now 42, and I still remember the gameplay as if it were just a few years back.
Yeah! NES have the best TMNT games - all 4 of theme. This one have the best visuals and gameplay, 16-bit TMNT games are not so fun. We had three different versions of "The Manhattan Project"in ex-USSR countries. Easy - where a Foot soldier can be killed with two strikes by ordinary attack. Medium - where a Foot soldier need 3 ordinary attacks. And Hard - 4 strikes for a Foot soldiers)))The Bosses also had different health. As a teen I completed "Easy" and "Medium" versions. The "Hard" version almost killed me))) Great walkthrough man! When I watching it I want to complete 8-bit TMNT games again - 20 years after my first experience)
+christopher campbell I didn't play this game as a kid cause SNES was a very expencive toy for our family. I played TMNT Hyperstone Heist on Sega. I think 8-bit TMNT are harder.
That might have been an accident. I would also say that falling off the platform is equivalent to a death even though the game doesn't treat it that way.
In my childhood i complete this game 7 times but this was the most tough game in the turtle series for nes...nd now we all lost those days...💔when you don't have memory card slots to save the game playing for hours nd have fun....the days gone....💔🥺
How come the day in 1992 when my little brother and I walked to the video rental store beside the Little Caesars and brought home this game and a pizza is so much better than all the days that have come since?
You reminded me of my early childhood. I used to play this around 29 years ago on my Nintendo console and every time I got stuck in the Shredder Boss fight 51:00 and used to think that the game has a glitch as I was unable to defeat him after too many hits :) Today I came to see this video how Shredder can be defeated!

I feel like I’m in a Time Machine all those memories so vivid in my mind of those afternoons playing this game
i always playing this with my little brother after school, those memories
Yeah.. the good days
Gosh same, me and my brother were 7 and 5 respectively and I remember the first time we beat the game together we were screaming in joy
I used to play this with my little brother, i loved this game.
Brings back so many memories
This is what my life was like growing up in the mid and late 90's: we get up,big brother goes to school,me and younger sister would either help mom clean or go shopping for grocery's or nesseccary needs that day, come home mom cooks dinner, brother and dad come home. family eats wonderful meal mom cooks then afterwards my brother would throw his homework on the bed and me him and sometimes our sister would spend hours beating this or Mario Bros before the game randomly went out. the good peaceful.
My childhood favorite game on my family computer. The sounds itself brings a lot of childhood memories. 😢
Thank you so much for putting this on youtube 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Never played this game as a child. But I have played Golden axe. Those games are very similar!

I love how this starts in Flordia and Leo surfs to NY, then catches the submarine.
I loved this game... Entertaining and funny. Loved the sand villains throwing sand and the turtle reaction, then they getting flattened etc 😂

Thanks for sharing it ❤️
I grow up with this game.😢 I still love her
played this game for hundreds of hours as a kid now playing shredders revenge after so many years its awesome
I just realised Avengers 2, Age of Ultron copied this game's premise and idea of a floating city!
sillytubbie I thought of that too when I seen ending!! Fucking bad ass movie
sillytubbie I here that guardians of the galaxy 2 is supposed to be bad ass
Except it was in the original comics ignoramous.
Sonic 3 also copied the floating island.
Also don't forget the Laputa Island. Jonathan Swift did it back in 1726.
i have been looking for that game for a long time i used to play it ..beautiful days thank you for bringing it back
This was the most fun game of all time for me 😂 those adventures were felt real and all the bosses had different powers it was real awesome back in those days
I'm now 42, and I still remember the gameplay as if it were just a few years back.
I hadn't realize how difficult this game was until I single played it. It was a complete different story when I played it along with my brother
played this amazing game back in 1998, it gives me goosebumps seeing my favorite things on youtube.
The best Ninja Turtles arcade experience on the 8-bit NES.
Bebop really has some insane driving skills, considering how broken parts of the bridge are.
Jet Lee
+Сергей Мацкевич i've beaten the hard level on turtles 4 turtles in time
+christopher campbell I didn't play this game as a kid cause SNES was a very expencive toy for our family. I played TMNT Hyperstone Heist on Sega. I think 8-bit TMNT are harder.
Leonardo has a special move when two attack buttons are pressed together he spins in air with his swords dealing great damage with defense
Damn men, the time flies... I miss those moments ❤
52:11 Special Attacks
hahahahaahaha !
xD jejejeje
That might have been an accident. I would also say that falling off the platform is equivalent to a death even though the game doesn't treat it that way.
Mashing Jump and kick quickly together sometimes triggered special attacks even though you didn't intend!
thanks man i was waiting for that
Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello admire Michaelangelo so much that they all are using his bandanna color (bottom of the screen)
OH MY GOD. I played this in micro genius 1990s. Thanks for the memories 💕
In my childhood i complete this game 7 times but this was the most tough game in the turtle series for nes...nd now we all lost those days...💔when you don't have memory card slots to save the game playing for hours nd have fun....the days gone....💔🥺
Greeaaattt gameplay! Fun to watch and without spaming attacks! Thanks for upload.
I'm a 15 year old and this is one of my favorite video games ever.
I remember the happiness level when I first managed to complete this game
To be honest I never knew this game existed until TMNT Cowabunga Collection!!
This is my childhood right here
Wow, cant believe i am playing this now. I couldn't finish it back in the days now i downloaded the emulator still gives me the chills
The battle against shredder and super shredder was so epic
How come the day in 1992 when my little brother and I walked to the video rental store beside the Little Caesars and brought home this game and a pizza is so much better than all the days that have come since?
One of the very best NES games ever!
I can't wait for the cowabunga collection of this as coming later this year
Loved this game
You reminded me of my early childhood. I used to play this around 29 years ago on my Nintendo console and every time I got stuck in the Shredder Boss fight 51:00 and used to think that the game has a glitch as I was unable to defeat him after too many hits :) Today I came to see this video how Shredder can be defeated! Thanks for sharing this video. Great Work!
My favourite childhood game.
Those days 💓
Great game for sure. Out of all the NES games I remember playing, none gave you your money’s worth on the bosses more than this one.
hey bro, u still here?
@@hecker7169 hola or hello bro
I can't believe that their soldier is fight empty handed with a muted turtle that carry sharp weapon.
I remember I had unlimited health on TMNT 3 on my Cassette but when I fought with Shredder he was not getting over because of a glitch there again . BUT THOSE DAYS WHEN I USED TO PLAY WITH MY FRIENDS AND MAMA(UNCLE ) 🥺🥺NOSTALGIA

WOW THIS PLAYTHROUGH IS WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR......THANKS FOR PLAYING LIKE YOU DID IN THIS GAME
I loved this game as a kid. I remember getting it for my birthday and obsessively playing it everyday for about a month. It was by far my favourite game. Until I lent it to my friend. His older brother then gave the game to his friend... He then tried to give me back some garbage where's Waldo game instead... I never got the game back, and still to this day am pissed about it. Curse you Nick Savage!!!
This game is more difficult than people give it credit for.
Frdctt09
I just realized that this game from the 80s has more enemy types than in Callisto protocol XD
*My childhood😍*
Ahh brings back so many memories. I used to play it with my neighbour(friend) on holidays. I never played it alone. Each holiday I used to wait for him. He would finish all his homework and come and we used to play it for hours. It was our fav game but sadly we could never complete it😁
I used to play this every time and try to complete it and always failed
Damn the "scoop" is smooth as F. Never I could do that and kill them instantly.
Damn this game brings so many memories, gotta play it and stream it
I’m curious, how do you stream retro games like this?
As a NES Game, this was way ahead of it's time.
