I feel like Ultima’s experience with the hero association might fall more along the lines of the trope of “if I cannot be wanted, let me be needed, and if I cannot be needed then let me be used until there’s nothing left”. Feels like they might be there because they have nowhere else to go, and nobody else to turn to- which makes their relationship with the villain here more complicated because for the first time they have someone who doesn’t want to use them as a weapon for their powers and such

But separating children from families who can't/don't want to provide the necessary care or if the family is simply too chaotic for the child, that would be fair and MAYBE that's something Ultima might have thought about at some point. before realizing that the association uses the heroes and children as weapons. But what is most important and what I think Mechanis and Ultima can agree on is that kids have to be kids. And people with power don't have to be forced to be heroes.

Whether Ultima was manipulated or not and she wanted to get out of there, that's another thing and I think that's already unknown territory, but it's a good question. And I think we would have to know more about the listener to answer it. Because the thing is that I don't know if she wanted to leave because she is still a heroine and so the questions are: Is she still in the association or is she somehow independent and that is why she has a sign as Batman? She is still in the association and she wants to change the methods? Could she realize that she is dating Mechanis?? (I have few theories and many questions lol)

(This is a small rant/theory/thoughts about the story so far because i was thinking about what Mechanus said,the implications about the SuperHero Academy etc and i was like.Wait a ducking minute why he gets angry at us!?) You know whats even more sad? That we had to lie.Cause he said from the first date"I dont like Ultima".Imagine trying to have a normal life and a guy you like tho not liking your other intedity,like what can you do be like "Oh yeah i am Ultima i lied to you because i wanted to make this work"(?) (Headcanon theory) I get it we had to be honest but come on! If he knows how being a superhero is then he should realise that maybe some heros pretend their personality while in costume. Cause here is the thing.If i was a organisation creating super heros.I would constantly teach the heros that they are not only inhuman but that they should act inhuman.Arrogant,as if they are invincible etc cause how else would people trust superheros if even the superheros showed fear? They wouldnt,they would question how reliable are the heros and there would be a ton of problems. So yeah i imagine that is no wonder that we would have developed different personalities based on our intentities when on or off of costume. Cause we most probably would have killed the guy if our strength is that strong. So if thats the case then the statement that Ultima solves things only with violence is untrue cause we could have just killed him or injure him way too bad and sadly no one would care cause he is a "villain" So Mechanus do better i guess XD Also you are lying too! So why you got so mad?! XD Although the system is corrup ngl it sounds way too screwed up if they take the kids even when they are infants
Well, can’t deny that taking them as babies and kids is taking it too far. As important as it is for these kids to learn how to properly use and control their powers, I also agree with Mechanus that they should only decide themselves to become superheroes when they become of legal age. A child is not a tool or a weapon to groom. A child is a living person who must be raised like any other normal child.

Oh hell yeah! I feared this series was abandoned, so glad that I was wrong! I’m so happy we got another part because I’m So Invested in this plot now. I have to wonder though if we’re a unregistered vigilante hero or if we just lied to his face. Both options seem good drama. I can’t wait for more. Oh and we finally got the kiss!! I’m so happy!!! Because we got kiss-blocked in part 2, I’ve been so frustrated about it looooool ALSO the lore dump on the world and Mechanus himself!!! I'm even MORE invested now!

He's back! I miss this adorable supervillain so much. ^^ You do such a good job writing and voicing him. I'm excited to see what will become of these two, and how they'll finally reveal their identities to each other. Especially with the cliffhanger ending where it seems the villain accidentally created a sentient, evil AI.
Oh my gosh, this audio was so good! I almost started to tear up partway through (especially about Jason and Michael, iykyk). And then at the end, I felt like a dagger was being shoved up into my diaphragm after entering through my stomach and slicing through my intestines. (A little dramatic, I know, but the pangs of guilt will do that to you 🫠) This was beautiful 🤍
This series I love it, but I’m worried. This is either going to end very angst where someone dies or there’s secrets within the crack of the hero organization, they team up, bing bang boom, defeat the REAL villain, happy ending. I’m hopping for the ladder

Oh my gosh I love this series SO MUCH! Man I straight up almost cried when he was talking about his brothers. Also, the CLIFFHANGER AGHHHH! The wait was so long but it was worth it! Can't wait for the next one! (no pressure, I know how hard it is to write scripts)
When I started this series I was not expecting to cry of all things but the story about his brothers absolutely broke my heart 😢 the fact i was tearing up is a testament to your writing and performance, really wonderful job with this series and this part in particular!
This just in: Scottish man so down bad he ignores the lines of code he wrote specifically to recognize heroes when it tells him it recognizes a hero. Also whyyy would the listener lie to him like that ugh! I mean they probably signed an NDA or had a bad experience in a past relationship when their identity was revealed or both. But still, I'm not ready for the soul crushing angst that's going to come out of this. Time to dig in until the big reveal ig.
Oh man I can't wait for the part 4 of this. Boy is he going to be surprised that not only is his girlfriend a mechahuman but she's Ultima. The "co-worker" that seems to really get on his nerves.

I thought we didn’t lie for a minute there and were not registered but still did our own hero work free of the organization but I listened again to the rest of the series and we got a whole ass bat signal type a deal so we 100% lied about being registered.

Oooooh this was fantastic and angsty! The confrontation and his tragic backstory WITH heavy world building was so well done! His motivations are so clear and I love it! I'm definitely agreeing with some other commenters on the theory that Ultima is an unregistered superhero who MADE the choice instead of being forced into it. Only time will tell! Either way it's gonna be hella angsty when both of their alter egos are revealed. Not to mention the AI uprising they're definitely gonna have to deal with from Zeta. Awesome as always Pebble!

When I started this series I was not expecting to cry of all things but the story about his brothers absolutely broke my heart 😢 the fact i was tearing up is a testament to your writing and performance, really wonderful job with this series and this part in particular!
This just in: Scottish man so down bad he ignores the lines of code he wrote specifically to recognize heroes when it tells him it recognizes a hero.
Also whyyy would the listener lie to him like that ugh! I mean they probably signed an NDA or had a bad experience in a past relationship when their identity was revealed or both. But still, I'm not ready for the soul crushing angst that's going to come out of this. Time to dig in until the big reveal ig.
Oh man I can't wait for the part 4 of this. Boy is he going to be surprised that not only is his girlfriend a mechahuman but she's Ultima. The "co-worker" that seems to really get on his nerves.
I am REALLY into this series now! And I'm VERY curious about that computer AI! Heck, I wouldn't mind a full asmr episode of him to know his perspective of all this! Awesome work as always!

I thought we didn’t lie for a minute there and were not registered but still did our own hero work free of the organization but I listened again to the rest of the series and we got a whole ass bat signal type a deal so we 100% lied about being registered.

Oooooh this was fantastic and angsty! The confrontation and his tragic backstory WITH heavy world building was so well done! His motivations are so clear and I love it! I'm definitely agreeing with some other commenters on the theory that Ultima is an unregistered superhero who MADE the choice instead of being forced into it. Only time will tell! Either way it's gonna be hella angsty when both of their alter egos are revealed. Not to mention the AI uprising they're definitely gonna have to deal with from Zeta. Awesome as always Pebble!
