      Hi Karen...Sorry I didn't get this posted earlier 😢 I've had this on my mind for a week or so and looks like it took too long to get it posted. Thanks for the kind words as usual! 😊 It sounds like you are out enjoying your bike so that it great!! I have one more coming probably tomorrow to show how the "Walk" mode works if you need to push the bike for any length of time. Maybe that will help as well? Thanks for stopping by!

      Hi Jerry…I appreciate that! I had a lot of questions when I got my first ebike so I wanted to make sure I talk about everything that I would have liked to have heard before I bought mine. Most of my videos are riding videos but I talk a lot about ebikes while I ride. So there are hidden gems in most of my videos. Thanks again and don’t hesitate to ask me anything.

      @@ReflectionsofOurLife ..I understand about talking to folks about something you love doing. I'm that way about crappie fishing. Even though I haven't put up a vid in almost 3 years, I still get folks getting ahold of me on fb and many times I'll have to give them my phone # to help them figure out things on their fish finders or just talk crappie fishing. I've made some life long friends from UA-cam.
      We bought these bikes hoping they'll give me more stamina so I can get back out on the water fishing and get us back to camping. Medical problems have grounded me. Many surgeries on my spine and neck plus other related problems. At least I'm no longer bed ridden and these bikes have given me a fighting chance to regain some of what I've lost.

      It’s nice to talk to someone who knows what I’m talking about. Do you have the 1.0 or the 2.0? I would suggest getting a cloud 9 seat or something along those lines as well as a suspension seat post. They would really help you with your back issues. My wife just had hip replacement surgery about 7 weeks ago and she was out on her Lectric bike 5 weeks out of surgery. They are great for people with health issues including me with a knee problem. I’m also 300lbs and it has given me an Avenue to get out and do more exploring and exercise than I would have been able to do before these bikes. I love fishing as well so I might have to get some tips from you too😁. I love your Crappie Craze icon…is that the name of your UA-cam page as well?

    Good explanation, but I really wish you had the display showing current rather than odometer, so I could of seen the actual power draw in each of the situations. Continuously tap the power button til CUR shows on the display to do that.

    • @ReflectionsofOurLife
      @ReflectionsofOurLife  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks and I apologize about that. Because of my size, close to 300lbs., my current levels are going to be quite a bit different than those of normal weight people. I can tell you that the cruise control on these bikes are a lot different from a cars cruise control. It's not really going to save any volts using the cruise like a car's cruise can save gas. It mainly depends on how fast you set it and if you peddle or not with it. It's just like setting a new peddle assist at what ever speed you want instead of the preset peddle assist and you can stop peddling without using the throttle to keep at that set speed. I'll try to remember to start showing the current more on my videos to show the difference between having the bike work harder for you or you working harder for the bike.

    Thanks. One thing I'd like to point out. The first time you set the cruise control you set it at 10 mph. The second time you said you wanted to set it at a lower speed, and you set it at around 6.8 to 7.1 mph. So the second time, when you said it wasn't holding at 10 mph, but only at 6.8 to 7.1, it was actually spot on because that's what you'd set it at. Again -- thanks for the video. I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on the 2.0. I have 2 other Ebikes that are great, but the Lectric 2.0 looks like a great bike for the price. (O/T: Because of the colors at first I though you were at Ikea -- blue and yellow.) :-D

    • @ReflectionsofOurLife
      @ReflectionsofOurLife  3 роки тому +1

      I wondered if anyone would notice that so I guess you are the winner!!! I noticed that when I watched it back again after it was uploaded. I guess I just got confused 😂 I'd say if you are in the market for another ebike, this would definitely check most all the boxes including the price tag. This is my first ebike and I can say that I can't really think of anything else I would want this bike to be able to do. I hadn't thought of the color scheme but I was at one of our local schools 😊

    • @skaybaltimore
      @skaybaltimore 3 роки тому

      @@ReflectionsofOurLife Cheers! I wasn't trying to criticize, I only wanted to point out, since you were focused on the cruise control, that it was accurate at lower speeds, which is critical when riding with slower riders, as you pointed out.
      I'm an average older heavier club rider but since our club doesn't have an "Ebike only" category, I started riding with the fastest, strongest club riders, otherwise I ended up riding by myself, no matter how hard I tried to slow things down. My bike is pedal assist only and it doesn't have a huge motor but it's got a mid drive motor/torque sensor set up that just rocks. It allows me to really fly up hills. And since I live in a hilly terrain, sort of like your area, I'm always out in front before I know it, even with some of the strongest club riders. So a bike with cruise control might help.

    • @ReflectionsofOurLife
      @ReflectionsofOurLife  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks…no offense taken at all. It’s nice that you were watching so closely that you noticed that…no one else has😁. It lets me know that you were interested. I know what you mean about riding with regular bikes. My wife and I did a video with my daughter who was on a regular bike and it was a little excruciating riding so slow with her😁. I love the ebikes because they give you the opportunity to cover a lot of ground in a much shorter amount of time and for older folks like me, they let me explore farther out than I normally would. They are great fun!! I appreciate you!!😁

    • @skaybaltimore
      @skaybaltimore 3 роки тому

      @@ReflectionsofOurLife Thanks. And likewise -- we're on the same page. When I started club rides with my Ebike it caused quite a stir, because I'd ridden with these folks for years on a regular bike, and the Ebike was kind of perceived by some as "cheating". (There's a lot of ego involved with some bike riders, despite the fact that it's something that should be a fun, recreational, and at times even competitive activity.)
      I basically ignored the people who had that attitude, and gravitated towards people who didn't mind or actually enjoyed the challenge -- sort of like horses vs steam engines. I tried to not be an a-hole about it, but you just can't please some folks. I look at it the way you do -- it enabled me to keep riding, enjoy the scenery, ride places I'd avoided in the past because of the hills, and get up off the couch. (Eventually we got more Ebike riders, but even when I rode with them I found that my bike, in combination with myself and years of road bike riding, was just too strong so I did a lot of stretches riding alone.)
      And there were times when I didn't even use the pedal assist because I wanted to push my conditioning. (I was, when I first got the Ebike, rehabbing from a very serious motorcycle accident.) One time a guy riding next to me said: "Man, that thing is so quiet!" I smiled. I told him that's because I was riding it without the motor, just like a regular, albeit heavy, 20 speed bike. (My Ebike has a double chain ring/front derailleur and it really does perform like a heavy loaded touring bike, just more nimble since it handles like a nice road bike. It's got drop handlebars, weight about 45 pounds, and on rolling terrain, extrapolated out on 50 mile rides, I was getting the equivalent of around 125 mile range at 16 mph average.)
      So I guess the moral is: Have fun. Ride safe. And be well.

    • @ReflectionsofOurLife
      @ReflectionsofOurLife  3 роки тому +2

      Luckily, I haven't had anyone say anything derogatory about my ebike so far that I'd have to deal with. Like I've said in several of my videos, there just aren't very many bike riders in my area and if I do pass someone, they don't even seem to notice that it's an ebike. I have had a lot of people say, "Nice bike", or "what kind of bike is that". They are just curious and haven't seen one before. I usually do have PAS 1 or 2 selected but I generally out-peddle it and the motor doesn't even kick in when I'm around people so they don't notice anything different. I love the ebike because I've ridden more miles this year than I probably have my entire life!! The Lectric weighs 63lbs. so it's a bear to peddle unless you are on the flat.

I'm not sure what I'm waiting for but I have not purchased a spare battery. I have heard that there are some through Ali Baba that have a higher AmpHour than our original ones. That is definitely something that I will be getting in the near future. Battery life is something that a person my size always keeps in the back of my mind. I have done several videos that tested the range in different environments and I can say that for someone close to 300bls. I can safely get 25 miles out of the current battery. But I do want to take longer trails so I'll be looking to get another one soon.
