I liked it too. Until it got associated with this scene in my brain and now I hate it because it reminds me of this pain and suffering they made my OTP have.
Everyone keeps acting like Emma's a hypocrite but ignore the fact that she said that they BOTH have to stop hiding things from each other, which means she acknowledges that she does it as well. And I adore CS and I want them to get married, but not like this. This scene works because it's so real and the writers seem to finally be confronting a problem that these two have had for awhile. And that means that there is hope that they can both learn from this and grow (and if the writers are smart, they'll have them do that). But Emma was right to give the ring back because this is not a good way to start marriage. People should look at Rumbelle if they want a good example of how lies can destroy a marriage.
still without her, Hook could've gone so many ways or even paths! she was the reason he turned into the dark one, tried to bring the apocalypse in one day, died, an awesome deadly trip to the underworld, turning into the reason for people wasting their times and...all just to abandon him in a few words!
emma's reaction is totally understandable. yes, she has done the same thing, but that was before they got engaged. She has established before that there shouldn't be anymore secrets between them, which is why she got angry that he hid this from her.
Emma: “that’s David’s father...it was you...hook:”Emma let me explain” Emma:”no it seems very clear to me..”hook: “I swear to u wanted to tell u I tried...and then u found that ring and I couldn’t bear to ruin that happiness Emma:”...how could you do this...?” Hook: “I asked myself the same question...and all I could say is that I was a broken man for a very long time and I did horrendous thin- Emma:”I’m not talking about that I’m talking about this...you were about to Burn your own memories why would you that...?”hook:”because I was Ashamed Emma and scared of losing you and everything that matter to me...”Emma: “you really think that would happen after ever thing we’ve been Through...?”Hook: “you tell me how am I supposed to sit across the table from your mother and father and look them in the eye after every thing that I done...?”Emma:”I’m not saying that it will be easy you know them you know that they would forgive you...that’s who they are..an- “Hook:”this just isn’t about them it’s about me..I already destroy my own family once that was hard enough and knowing that I destroy yours I don’t know how to live with that...”Emma:”YOU COME TO ME HOOK AND YOU LEAN ON ME AND YOU TRUST ME... we have to stop hiding thing form each other the man I fell in love with would know that u know that we do thing together..”Hook: “Emma- “Emma:”that is what I agree to merry that is what I thought we was together...until your ready for that then we can talk...” I am so sorry-teehee
This was completely unnecessary (in my opinion). I don't know why the writers and people who watch this show are being overly dramatic with this. Yes, Hook killed David's father, so what? Everyone in this show did terrible things in their pasts, and a lot of them have killed someone's mother or father. That's right, he isn't the only one, and he didn't even know that man was David's dad in the first place. Unlike Snow (for example) who killed Cora and she perfectly knew who it was: Regina's mother. So chill out. The only good thing about this is now we can have a decent CS proposal.
I don’t think Emma was mad about the fact the Hook killed David’s father, I think she was just upset that he hid it from her and the rest of the family for so long. I don’t know, that’s just my opinion. 🙂
I love plot convenience! Lol. Sarcasm. You know if I had a magic dream catcher that held a giant secret from my family that I planned to burn I would not stand around watching those memories unfold on it so anyone could witness it themselves as well as myself. And I couldn't care less about David's father tbh. Yeah yeah I know the whole point of the storyline is to represent how Killian has changed but also how he needs to learn how to change a bit more and trust Emma with a secret like this but come on... It just seems like an easy way to get these two to have their own "trouble in paradise" moment when we already saw these two go through so much pain in season 5. It was frankly a bit unnessecary, but I did appreciate all the added angst Hook brought to the show when he was trying to get back to Emma. That did make up for some of the annoying plot. But I have to admit I appreciate the writers addressing the problems Killian and Emma have when it comes to keeping things from each other. It's happened a surprising amount with these two and in a real life relationship all of these secrets would easily result in a breakup. I think adding this plot about Hook killing David's dad is kinda outta no where and a bit last minute but I suppose that doesn't matter as much as what Emma's grandfather represents; the lack of communication these two have, especially with stuff like this.
@@soixsantes What I'm saying is that the plot is a bit annoying, even though I appreciate the writers addressing the communication problem these two have.
I agree with you about the writers addressing their communication issues. It was good they finally did that. But if they're going to do so, why not over Emma hiding her visions and Hook hiding the shears? That way, a man's death isn't simply a plot device that instantly gets discarded. Also, those failures to communicate are actually relevant issues to Hook and Emma, in the present day. I think that would have been better
She's always doing that. That's why I can't stand her most of the time. And I'm not saying this just because of the way she treated Killian here, but because she's like this with everyone :/
@@Mai2727 thanks for clarifying. I've only seen mostly CS scenes, so I thought Killian knew all along. Well then, I can see why Hook felt as he did, but Emma's right. He shouldn't have tried to hide it... David's father was kind of a tyrant right? Doesn't make what Hook did better, but I was wondering why Emma/David were so forgiving.
I kind of dislike Emma in this scene because she seems like a hypocrite. But I can't outright hate her because she makes some good points. That they BOTH should stop hiding things from each other. And that Hook knows that she and the Charmings will forgive him. But I understand Hook's feelings too. He still can't forgive himself so he has a hard time expecting forgiveness. But that's what makes him a good character. He's so hard on himself for all of his misdeeds. Even if they were "a long time ago." He still looks so shocked and touched when people forgive him. Being a better man means so much to him. And that would be the only reason he would ever leave Emma. If he felt the need to better himself.
@Kenya Girly your replying this to every comment about feeling sorry for hook..why? You must really hate him and I saw your a nealxemma shipper...well too bad he’s dead get over it.
amanda kenya i think that he is, because the episode before this one we clearly see Neal/Bae that oblige Rumplestiltskin to kill Beowulf, so yes Neal is a murderer too
you must be kidding me! in this scenario, how much messed up it is, it's David that has lost his father and chance or rebounding with him, it's him that needs to think weather he can accept Hook by knowing this or not and they still make it about Hook's romance with Emma? always Emma, Emma, Emma? really Hook has nothing else to do? even if he kills the neighbor's son, he should come and redeem himself for Emma because of it? no wonder his character writing is so weak, he's really nothing but Emma's love interest in the eyes of writers! and Emma screwed the chance of destroying the darkness once and for all, just to keep Hook alive, turned him into the dark one, wasted his time for six weeks, dragged half of Storybrooke to literal hell(after causing hell come to storybrooke of course) in order to bring him back, even after he said we need to stop, all to just easily dump him in a few words here? only cause he kept a secret he was afraid of? rightfully?
The way she says " you trust ME" breaks my heart!! 😥😥
i like her hair in this episode it was pretty

Ikr I know I’m replying 3 years late but I’m like obsessed with her hair
Agreed! I'm a bit sad that this is the one and only time we get to see her hair all braided in the show.

Hello
Well....yea
This scene is so sad. Now I hate to be a nitpick but how did Killian access the dream catcher?
KaylizWhoDavidfan emma made dream catchers in season 5 and keep them at the house
@@rainpuppy14 but then dark one killian trew all of it away
