Two tips if I can be so bold. The 150mm reducer plate from tapepro is perfect for that system. It keeps the base within the recess. Give it a go, you won't be sorry.
And a speed filler pump is ideal for base. Speeds up the process and super quick and easy to clean.

Hey Gary! When we ran an 8” for our second coat we used to use the reducer plate but we run the 10” instead now seeing as frames are so bad these days the 8” base fill is better for us. We Use a five inch to fill just to minimise washing and carrying an extra tool around each floor only takes like 3 heaps and it’s full as the wallboard box opens up so wide. We tried the cheap wallboard little tub but it broke like two days in and just haven’t bothered buying a new one 5inch is fast enough for us 😂
