Gotta like how you translated 芭蕉(around 1:00) by "banana plant". 松尾芭蕉(Matsuo Bashou) is actually a poet from the 17th century who was born in Mie prefecture (I think it's also Ui's birthplace).

Was thinking, maybe "Betrayal of the nephew?" for the 7syl tanka line? But then thought, whatever, the syllable rules aren't super hard and fast rules, and "Nephew's betrayal" just sounds correct in a poetic flow kinda way... despite the nonsense haha
It's possible that some of these come form Toya's community since they do these kind of Marshmallows all the time

Basho is Matsuo Basho who is a Japanese medieval famous poemer. His 古池や 蛙飛び込む 水の音 is one of the best Japanese 5-7-5 style poetries. He isnt banana plants.
But Mitso is Aida Mitsuo who is a modern famous poemer. And adding みつを or みつお to make poetry is referenced by shit poster because of its cuteness.
