*TOP* notch stuff - really thorough tutorial - helping me consolidate - I've been practising lateral movement - pentatonic as you demonstrated plus playing the main riff triads all over the neck.
I love this format of video plus tab plus theory breakdown. So helpful! Also, I've wanted to learn Midnight Blue for years and years - it's one of my favorite guitar pieces ever.
When ya don't resolve a chord ya cant get to sleep🥱 I like the tone of strings 2,3,4 and 5. On my archtop the 1st is a 10, sounds tinny and the 6th is 52, sounds too bass boomy. Just asking what your 1 and 6 are, ta from Kingsbridge.
I love this approach of yours, and please don’t stop making these. On a side note, which Stevie Wonder song did you mention here (that uses the altered scale / Ab and Gb over C)?
Maybe just me but having difficulty with audio levels between voice and guitar. Louder voice or lower guitar would help. Thank you for sharing your insights, quite good.
Really hard to keep involved, lick talk lick talk lick talk. But you see, we know our scales, i like your lick details but i just feel lick its not theory based, its not so fruitful for me. Why the scale, why the chord tones, why the chromatics, what altered tones, and why? What ese works, they why did KB change from the most likely scale?
"I've mentioned repetition several times in this video" - funniest line ever!
😂

Kenny Burrell played on some Stevie wonder records!
