Gratitude the key to new life. An appreciation of even the smallest detail being important is what a Bodhisattva awakened mind is all about. This is what I am seeking to maintain in my life
Thank you for all of your continuous information, creativity combined with study to sustain my trip to becoming increasingly consciously informed together with spiritually connected.
the idea of viewing life as a gift has often seemed suspicious to me; The suspicion goes something along the lines of "are we intentionally inducing a stockholm syndrome were we teach ourselves to love life with its pain, just because its hopeless to avoid old age, missfortune, sickness, and death?" but then I realize that any act I ever do, no matter how impulsive, has the intention of mitigating a piece of pain anyway. Since it seems impossible to get away from craving the end of suffering its fine to look for the gift of life/make life a gift, I am already doing it.
Life is a gift. But for many of us the moment to moment isn't a nice place to be. Real life hits hard sometimes, even when we try and appreciate what is in front of us. Nasty people, bad places, ill health, degraded senses. Its hard to be in the moment when so much is going on.
Same wisdom in Christian theology: the only way to respond to God's gratuitous act of creation ('grace') is through gratitude; and Gerard Manley Hopkins' 'there lives a freshness deep down things'.
Nope.....a little neuroscience would be helpful here. What we now suspect enlightenment is that the brain has entered a high gamma wave state. Best Wishes
The Roshi, indeed, has given a vital insight in a voice which seeps into your consciousness!!

Life is sometimes a gift, sometimes a curse I think.

你只是說這樣的意思,用不同的說法。我寫中文,所以意思應該是不同的嗎?Now as I'm writing in English, is the core of my words changing?
You're not wrong. Gamma synchronicity is enlightenment
