Your grasses are so different to ours Steve. Great to see you out playing, 50° I'd dream of right now as we're down in the high 20's at the moment. Some nice golf there and that BioMech looks like its found a home 👍
The Zoysia fairway grass down here in KC is a warm/hot weather grass. 50 degrees was nice with not much wind. The Bio Mech might have found a home, lol. I am a putter whore so you might see another putter in play in a soon to be released video, lol. Thanks for watching. What did you think of the vlog style?
@@FirstResponderGolf I enjoy all different styles of vlog Steve. What you're doing here, talking about PTSD and mental health, is super valuable. It's good to talk! You look to be playing pretty solid at the moment 👍👍👍 Debi says I have an issue with putters...surely theres no such thing as "you have too many putters Kent!" I treat that as background noise 😉
Great video Steve. I think the talk you gave at the beginning is crucial to what your trying to achieve on your channel. The nerves and emotions that are triggered every time that alarm sounds has to be huge and controlling them is key to your success, but at the end of the day talking about it is good. On another note, I don’t think you’re having a tempo issue, in fact your tempo looks pretty good. I’d say that the problem is more likely dipping the club at the top of the backswing rather than holding your wrists in a solid 45 degree relative to your right wrist. Dipping forces you to try and get back to square and usually results in casting the club to early or too late, causing a hook or a thin. I would bet if you focus on the 45 your swing will feel shorter, you’ll hit straighter and farther. Just my two cents but heck with inflation it could be ten bucks worth. 😂😂😂 Seriously though you have good game and you do fight for par. Thanks for the videos and good content.
Hey Tim, Thanks for the input on the vlog talk and the overall video. I agree with your assessment of my wrists in the swing. I was self taught early in my golfing and trying to make the changes you are talking about has been a tough task. The lesson video I posted a month or so ago is what I am trying to do but I can't get the feel yet. Plus, I haven't been able to put much range time to yet either with the weather.
@@FirstResponderGolf that wrist thing is tough. Not sure if they still make it (I’ll do some research), but my swing instructor has me get this Jim Flick training aid that looks like an arch and fastens to the shaft of the club, so that in the back swing it will seat on the right forearm and in the follow through it seats on the left forearm. Excellent tool to get that feel. I use to set my wrists right off the ball just as I would start my shoulder turn, since returning to the game I have been trying to do it more into the backswing which is how most pros do it but some still do it early. Right now I’d give anything to just hit a ball. 🤣
Great vlog as always. I personally love getting out first or second tee time. It get in 18 walking in about 3 hours and have the day left. The Ojai valley is beautiful that time. So quiet, deer on the grounds, hawks flying. Talk about clearing your head. Anyway, rough not having a range to hit a few warm ups!
Lol.....50 isn't cold....was finishing 9 holes the other day and it was about 2 or 3 degrees (36/37f).....soooo cold....ball doesn't fly anywhere that cold...haha Love your channel ⛳️🤙🏽
Golf is the best therapy my man
Yes it is for sure. Love it. Thanks for watching and commenting

Going out first is nice for sure. What did you think of this style of vlog with me talking more at times and at the beginning?
@@FirstResponderGolf relaying what first responders go through is great. I appreciate the talks.
They have the best range in Kansas
Watching and wearing my he red 1/4 zip!
Nice.
Liked the vlog
Thanks Reggie.
8th green is a great tough green!
It is a menacing green for sure.
