From her speech she seem like she ready for the big stage this girl a future Olympian
BEST KEPT SECRET IN CHAMPS HISTORY. SEEMS LIKE ONLY HYDEL FOLKS KNEW ALANA REID HAD TEN AND CHANGE UNDER THE BONNET. PLAYED POSSUM ALL THIS TIME LEADING UP TO CHAMPS. SKY IS THE LIMIT FOR HER. SORRY SERENA! YOU JUST DIDN'T KNOW WHAT YOU WERE UP AGAINST. 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🙆🏾♂️ ONLY THREE FEMALES IN JAMAICA AHEAD OF HER JUST NOW. THAT HODGES GIRL FROM BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS IS TREMBLING LIKE A LEAF RIGHT NOW HEADING TO CARIFTA50.
Yes warrior energy
She is‼️‼️
Not just a future Olympian but also a future medalist
She is very well spoken
Alana has been dominating since Naggo head days she is a very consistent athlete she's here to stay!
Who cut onions in the room. Miss Reid I'm so proud of you. The future is bright
Congrats Alana, thanks for making us all so proud. I'm predicting that you will break that suspect Women's 100m World Record. Jamaica Track and Field is in good hands as it relates to you. YOU GO GIRL 💟👏🙏🇯🇲...COYG
Are you calling it suspect because she was on roids or because it didn’t happen
@@joshuadudley8031 SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION TO ANSWER YOUR OWN QUESTION. "SUSPECT" SPEAK FOR ITSELF BECAUSE THE DOUBT HAS BEEN AROUND FOR THE LONGEST OF TIME. WHEN IT'S BROKEN, IT WILL CEASE BEING A TOPIC.
The world belongs to Alana Reid. Go forth now and nyam up Lyston's 200m record. Every new class 1 must be better than the last 😂
No man lyston record safe. But she gone guh close
@@lawrencehibbert4286 Lyston record is safe?? How you so sure about that? Love your confidence
@@lawrencehibbert4286According to sign of the times you shouldn't want it to be,that 22.33 indoors is awesome., a statement should be made.
@@lawrencehibbert4286 I think she is going to break it her 200m runs are imperious. And her running mechanics needs lots of improvements can you imagine what she will do when she improve on it?
@@lawrencehibbert4286 For your record the 200m is her pet event. The 100m is her weaker event and looked what happened. Record may very well go... records are there to be broken...
Such a ET-H kind of confidence! Hope to see her in future Olympic Games breaking records.
Very much out spoken!!! Am here wondering to my self if she's a senior athlete. Because she look that way and speaks that way. Very much mature young lady. I wish her all the best in the future
Jamaica full of talented athletes...
She speaks very well. Congrats 🎉. Continue to excel in all areas ❤...
Huh what does that mean?
SHE'S THE TRUTH....
2BLACK 2 STRONG 💯
Very bright girl too congrats
Amazing performance, no other performance will beat this. Girl you’re ready for the big time, some senior athletes are shaking in their boots
It's early in the season mate dont count the chickens yet
dang girl I love the way she expressed herself too, poised and fluent. You don't get that alot from our athletes they battle with the English Language or they seem to can't find the right words. Big up yuhself Alana
Just to say, this expectation that our young people should have camera and public speaking skills (supposedly poised, fluent and finding the right words!) on cue when they are not taught them is patently unfair. As for 'battling' with English, Jamaica is a bilingual society. It means expectations for inexperienced, young people who spend most of their days in Jamaican audio to just miraculously master English speaking skills - and in public and on camera, at that - are completely unreasonable! It's attitudes like those and comments (and likes!) like this which cause them to become intimidated. Who knows how these things affect their overall confidence? We really need to rest these colonial attitudes, as if speaking English is any sign of advancement.
Lef di yuut dem mek dem straiv, man! Mek uo kan taak Inglish taak Inglish an uo kaan taak Jamiekan taak Jamiekan! Lou di yuut dem!
Alana just did something phenomenal and we're out here talking about English! Mi kyaa bada!!!
So refreshing to hear a Jamaican school girl athlete express herself so clearly and confidently in standard English.
My ears were so happy for that.
What do you think them teach in JA?
An wat if she did chat patwa to? Yaah gwaan like anuh 2 languages Inna Jamaica. If she did ansa d questions dem eloquently Inna Patwa to, yuh wudn undastan?. Me jus nuh like owe sum like to luk dung on Patwa.
Yes go Alana. Stay focus. You going places.
A good representation of a champion not like the other proud and boastful one.
ALANA REID!!!!! 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
All these athletes will be taking over from Shelly-Ann F. Elaine T. Sherika J.
So we hope these young skillful & talented athletes both females and males GET READY.
Feel good to see this man🎉

Why are you bringing up serena Cole? Don’t imagine what could’ve happened if she was in the race. Look at the results of the race.

👁️ALANA REID FOR PRESIDENT.... GORGEOUS YOUNG LADY
Congratulations
Well done young lady.
Love hear when the kids from Jamaica speak standard English so well. Too many of our kids pay too little attention to learning anything apart from patois
So what if you love the enslavers english go ahead but dont looķ down on Patois
Really
No need to learn patios you grow with it its all English language in school

Great intellect!
She could have won gold at 2022 commonwealth games.
What was the time Elaine did to win sure it was faster
@@donovanpusey4415 Elaine ran 10.99
@@CriticallyEverything 10.95
@@trackuniverse9121 thanks. So 99 was the flash time?
To Dane Campbell: an announcer said she would be moving to the US.
To attend college
This 10.92 is “big girls “ territory ….Nam Jamaica
Him forget that Tina did sub 11 last yr?
He did not forgot.
This is Alana's moment so he is paying her that homage, until someone else break the record.
Alana's time is faster than Tina's
@@Dlami89 ik that it's because the person said 1st Jamaican junior to run sub 11 wen Tina jus 18 this yr and ran the 10.95 last yr
Is the times correct am just asking?😮
You must be an Edwards ! Too much JOKES!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂👍🏾
Back in my days Samantha Henry was the only bright girl I knew that did track, the rest a dem did dunce bad. Mi na ask how this Alana balance school work and athletics.
How you know? Are you in every school?
Really?? Dr Arthur Wint!!
You lack intelligence because I ran tracks in high school and it helped my academics!!
Most of the girls smart ... Akera Nugent.... Bryann Lyston ect ...
They are smart, patois just comes easy.
Alana reid has been dominating wayy back since naggo head days look how she ate up that first leg at her final year at primary champs ua-cam.com/video/5mq0cYCEVvM/v-deo.html
She will be going overseas. Too bad when she is in a US college, she will not be running for Jamaica.
Bruh what?
Who else would she been running for?
To Donovan Pusey: Many times when our athletes go to college in the US, due to pressure & benefits they would acquire, they do run for that country.
@@pameladelisser4859 pretty sure kemba would be running for USA lol plus she is going to the same college as her
keep focused . very proud of you. you are definitely on your way to greatness
I Feel this Girl WILL be the Next Big THING !!!!
I'm listening very intently, but still can't understand what she's saying.
Congratulations!!
Nice interview. Put in the work and just focused on your own lane. Can't go wrong with that.
