Great lesson Mark, and it's maybe a little thing, but I really like that you place the chord diagrams next to the tab. Makes it very apparent where the notes are coming from. Nice!
Jimmy Page demonstrated his rockabilly skills and influences in a lot of his solos (Heartbreaker solo 2 for example). Like Jeff Beck, Page was a great stylist, bringing lots of styles to hard rock.
Love that James Burton line. Which is saying something as I normally don't like Country or Rockabilly. And you make it look easier than it is at speed. Nicely played. 👍
I love it! The real hack that stands out to me is the slidey-slide on the minor-to-major third in the pentatonic scale. That's interesting that that's a country thing too but sounds different in this context!
Another great video Mark.. I just found your course in your information area.. I want to sign up but unsure of what content will be provided.. Will it have all of your past content? Are complete songs included? I'm excited to get started.. Thank you Mark!
HI Brian. If you're a member, you already have the Master the Roots of Rock course. If you're a non-member, just sign up for notification when the course is ready for sale. All of your questions will be answered at that time. If you're asking about membership, the full information is here: tinyurl.com/MarkZRockstarMember In a nutshell though - it includes all of my courses + member-only courses + songs + historical tabs and backing tracks + behind-the-scenes stuff beyond my UA-cam, Instagram, and TikTok content. The best reason to sign up, however, is that I do member-only livestreams and Zoom sessions each month with a different learning path each month. (This month it's Mastering CAGED.) That's only available to members. If you have further questions, feel free to email me.
Thanks for the feedback. It's a tall order, because it's a ton of work and it's not clear videos with tab perform any better. If you like it, make sure to support it. Again, thanks for the feedback.
I will definitely support any video lesson you provide with tablatures. I’ll also notify all my friends and family who are guitar players and encourage them to subscribe to your UA-cam channel.
Did you stay for the detailed lesson on I Know A Little and for the complete solo at the end using the Riff technique? The playing is just to demonstrate the technique. You'll help yourself more if you learn the technique rather than just specific licks.
I watch so many of these 'instructional ' guitar videos. If you listen to enough players, you'll know it isn't all that complicated as people try to make it. But, here's free advice. Stop using tab, listen, and develop your own voice. Not someone else's...
No. "Soloing over the chords" is a much broader subject. It includes riff-based soloing, but isn't limited to it. It's like the difference between using the word "fish" and the word "shark".

Jeez Mark you've become a virtuoso across the board. Rockabilly, blues into R&R. Brilliant
Thanks brother!
You’re a good teacher. Thank you.
Thanks!

Cool, thanks!

Thanks a bunch!

Cool how you have to just hit a chord tone and you can rock out and end on the right note and it sounds great

All lessons should have tablatures!

Zep the best cover band ever 😂
They wrote a lot of stuff!
@MrBoblangan you missed it ..they let's just say "borrowed" a lot of music from other artists lol
Noice!
Thanks!
I'd love to learn these but watching you play them didn't work 😅

Isn't this simply soloing over the chords?

nice, but i still need a brain.
Thanks.
I'm unsubscribing to your channel, cause all you do is play the guitar and don't teach a complete song. You used to. Now you don't. So I'm out.
I actually teach now, so it's for people who want to learn guitar. If knowing "why" isn't your bag, I certainly understand. Have a good one.
