    This year i've been in Maramures twice with my Defender, each time solo, surprisingly had no issues with car. Be aware of bears while camping in forests, both times they visited us at nights.

      We didn't saw any of them, but we saw small broken houses by bears, during the night!

    Good one B. Funny comment about telling them to get some land rovers🤣 Thanks for sharing. My disco 2 has now installed the disco 1 diff lock levers. Now I don't know if the traction control works properly, because I almost never see it work when I lock de center diff. Really awesome upgrade. Cheers mate.

    Like someone else already said, be aware of bears at night. They're pretty much everywhere, and aren't afraid of humans any longer. Very nice videos and driving.

    Awesome, muddy Day, tires Bf km2 not bad but, I recommand you silverstone mt117 extrem , maxxis cst cl18 land dragon , if you coming next period until Christmas m' afraid will be snow anyway, enjoy it and take care. 👍

      @BaptistePitois  7 років тому +1

      Hi Lucas, thank you for your comment, I appreciate !✌
      We could run more agressive tires, but we do a lot of road so it's not a good choice for our 4x4s. (Paris-->Sibiu = 2000 Kms)
      I will probably come back next year 😉

    roumain ici. en Roumanie, nous appelons les KM2 des "poivrons" :)
    ils sont plutôt inutiles en terrain roumain si vous voulez essayer des sentiers plus difficiles, mauvais choix de pneus surtout sur les gros véhicules lourds.
    ils peuvent être ok peut-être en été si vous n'attrapez pas une tempête.
    et oui, la Patrol est une voiture de choix en raison des essieux forts.
    en particulier avec les pneus Simex, SIlverstone Xtreme, Super Swamper ou Ziarelli, qui sont normalement utilisés dans ces forêts (maintenant Maxxis Trepador gagne aussi en popularité). De l'autre côté de mauvais pneus pour overlanding...
    Amusez-vous bien en Roumanie :)

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  7 років тому

      Salut !
      Merci de ton commentaire. On roule avec ces pneus la car nous avons beaucoup de route ! (2000km rien que pour venir) & ce serait moins drôle avec des Simex.. ;)

    Hi great video
    In your opinion which do you think is best off road landrover or Toyota
    I know there are people out there that are biased one way or another.but you have a lot of experience in both .
    And your videos are very honest
    Ps merry Christmas

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  7 років тому +2

      Hi mate, thank you.
      Well in my opinion, Land Rovers are usually better than Toyotas at offroading.
      Speaking of realiability, Toyota wins hands down, but Land Rover parts are MUCH cheaper. Toyotas are also more expensive at buying, (Europe) but it probably depends of your living country.
      Toyotas are also heavier, but they do have more room inside, which is good for expeditions.
      As a conclusion, I would say that everything depends of your heart, your budget & your mechanic skills ! ✌
      Merry christmas to you too !

    ONly for the comment on 04:12 about Land Rovers you deserve a Like! But I also like some Toyos, like the Troopie! ;-)

      and then I thought you were disappointed in Discovery. I was thinking to buy Patrol y61 , not Discovery. What do you think ?

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  7 років тому

      Not yet haha ! I've never been driving an Y61, so I honestly can't tell you
      It's all about you 😉

    • @plamyasvaroga7101
      @plamyasvaroga7101 7 років тому

      My friends say that I'm going to have lots of problems with Discovery and that I will often repair it or go to service center , maybe they mean the 3rd and 4th generation. And those who owns y61 telling me that the discovery 2 is not dynamic.

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  7 років тому

      I also think that you will have to take more care of your discovery than your Patrol. But a remapped Td5 works well too ;)

    AS per your comment about the 'Getting Landy's', some people cant even be shown let alone told;) lol. The ol Tojo isnt a bad truck. Just make sure you or they have their 'Toyota' recovery kit on hand for you to be able to assist as required lol. Cheers for sharing Brett from Australia. D1 Driver. ;)

    I cringe watching that recovery at the end. If it is not kinetic rope, one cannot use momentum to pull a stuck car out. Far too dangerous for both cars and the people around.
