- Our colleague Chow is known to be a hoarder living amongst her mess in her bedroom; you can hardly see her floor! We got Doreen (her housemate) and Zhin (colleague who cannot stand mess) to help clean, pack, declutter and recycle things she hoarded. Including a gift from her ex-boyfriend.

FYI, some of the fairprice outlets have hanging racks for bags. So those who forgot to bring their own, can freely take. So next time if you have any excess, you can consider passing it on that way!

actually for all those reusable tote bags or whatever, some supermarkets have a rack where you can leave these bags for other shoppers to use if they forget to bring a reusable bag!! i know causewaypoint ntuc has 1 but im not sure how to find more of these places.

Why are all the comments so mean. Tbh her room isn’t that bad, it’s just too much stuff (I mean in this capitalist world who doesn’t have too much stuffs) y’all obviously haven’t watch enough extreme hoarders.
It’s quite bad 😂 how does one vacuum or mop the floor with some many boxes and things on the floor for months? (Housemate mentioned: since 2 years ago) unless that area was never cleaned 💀
It is bad if she let a soaked / dirty shoe she meant to wash lie there untouched for ONE YEAR.
The clutter can be said was due to too little time at hand. I too keep boxes. Things that come in boxes like shoes, computers, and whatnot I keep them just in case I need to send them back, give them to someone if I underuse them, or just in case I move house. I hold the same with the Chow system with clothes. I don't chuck used clothes straight into the pile that is going to the wash. I will use them again as long as they don't smell or are dirty. Max if I wear them 3 times. ( you may be wondering you know what…well that used once and chuck. If you don't know what I'm talking about then ignore it. ) chow is very considerate in terms of ‘trash’ and how they should be trash out in a proper manner or channel. I am not that concerned…or maybe I should.

So brave of Chow to agree to having this video published, considering the unsparing brickbats drawn from airing the more personal side of herself. Tidiness and neatness may be nice to have qualities, but hoarding and messiness should not be condemned as an intolerable sin. Comments that associate her personality/likability as a person with her unorganized habit are so mean tbh.

Chow make me realised that hoarders are just pro-recyclist who doesnt have the time or opportunity to recycle quick enough compared to them collecting more stuff to be recycled. 😅

The tote bags you can actually leave them at the national library. There is a bag bin at CCK library where you can donate the bags for people who didn’t bring bags to carry the books home.
To all those semi haters out there, a messy room doesnt necessarily reflect how someone is perceived. Though it does aid to providing a clearer mind. Context aside, Chow is a wonderful human being, and im happy that she has wonderful people around her helping her.
She really is a wonderful person to have around! We love her and always have things to learn from her ❤️

No judgement. Yes, a messy room doesn't always reflect a bad character.... Chow could have one of the best personality on earth but that doesn't mean she has the best hygiene. On the other hand, being hygienic is also an expensive lifestyle & habit. I think one should exercise discretion when it comes to being mindful for recycling Vs borderline hoarding just for the sake of recycling. Chow, one tip for the big tissue is to tear it into quarters and keep the clean ones in a clean bag/box for next use instead of leaving it out for bacterial breeding coz that used tissue have traces of saliva :)

i like how passionate she is about recycling. i am like this too. not sure what's with the hoarders comments.. her room really isn't THAT bad? yall saying as though she rack up so much in things that it poses as a fire hazard sort of situation when clearly it's not. She seems to just not clean very often that's all, and it is very brave of her to expose her own room even though it isn't yet thoroughly cleaned.

Honestly her room isn't that bad (Which is a sign that I need a Decluttering team as well hahah) It really reminds me of my room. I can relate with recycling the boxes because some bday gift decors are very wasteful to throw. I love to keep memories too aaa and have a time to clear up again (But for me, my mess piles up again)

I'm abit like chow.. I quite messy but neat messy.. I throw sentimental things right away when it ended. only certain sentimental things I keep... I do not eat healthily.. i also love mixed food rice... I like both Korean and Japanese style of food.. like example Chinese fried rice with kimchi and miso soup! I love jogging and take a walk.. but I kind of a womaniser.. lol like sanji from one piece! not like Zenitsu Agatsuma in demon slayer.. I think I can be good friend with chow.. she way too smarter than me.. I'm a bit lazy though!

Agreed, the “half clean “ may not have dirt on it but has your perspiration. “ half dirty “ dress is still a dirty dress .. just wash it. If it’s only one or two “ half clean “ clothes hanging there is still manageable BUT she has a full rack of them😂 Goodness Gracious 😂

I understand people who hoard due to attachment or sentimental issue.. sure i get it.. but the fact that chow is giving upcycling advice for this video in her kind of environment.. is truly ironic. It’s not just the hoarding of items.. but the fact that the place is dusty in general is another thing on it’s own 😖

I'm also a hoarder to a certain extent. But I don't have emotional attachment to stuff, so even if I gather things, it's also easy for me to let go. I think the only thing I can't do at Chow's level is the whole environment-friendly thing. Can confirm.
