Blank fire means using blanks (no projectile) and the barrel must be gas restricted or else the semi auto/full auto mechanism in the firearm will not cycle.
So What you have is a blank firing film firearm that has been decommissioned so it will never fire anything again. so any collector may purchase at auction without provisional firearms licences.
Nice try. Only a scammer offers apple products and play station to the pc master race.
@@MrLeeziebee Your childish snobbery is showing.
@@HappyCynic you are late son. there is a scam like this going around youtube on several channels at the moment. that, and all your base are belong to us. submit to the awesome power of the PC master race. lol.
basically anything aliens related is just amazing...... gasm....
This looks so cool always loved the look of the pulse rifle.
It's the sound it makes that stays with me more.
I've beeen very lucky to hold a screen used Aliens Pulse rifle at Bapty's in 2003. My reactio was pretty much the same as yours Adam, squeeee. Haha. :)
Holy cow they're real guns. That IS AWESOME
Many movies of that era used modified real guns for their fictional weapons. It made filming easier. Robocop's gun is a Beretta 93R. Even when the guns are not used for live firing on sets they often still used real guns as a base. Han Solo's blaster is a Mauser C96.
There are videos on UA-cam of people who have made fully functional shooting pulse rifles.
Of course they are. How do you think they got the muzzle flashes in the film? They couldnt just digitally put them in like they can today. Im sure they didnt as cool on set though. They probably didnt even know what they were gonna sound like on film while filming.
@@chamoo232 Yep/Arnies 45longslide wirh lazer sighting is basically amodified Hardballer😎😉
I like how even if it's decommissioned he still has proper handling.
I'd love to see Adam modify the new Nerf M41A to look as real as the prop.
He's an American, it would be better to modify a Thompson machine gun to look like a M41A pulse rifle.
This guy is doing a pretty good job so far
ua-cam.com/channels/TG9tysKbpyt4rGNSeR3FJg.html
@@kingcosworth2643 It would still be way cheaper to take the Nerf and make it look accurate. Plus it would be a good project to show the rest of us to follow along and modify one ourselves.
@@kutter_ttl6786 The nerf version won't be as powerful. Hence why som people go for airsoft option
One of my favourite Film Gun props, will keep an eye on the bidding
I bet Adam cried less then this holding his child for the first time XD
I got to hold a replica at a scifi con years ago and I was definitely shaking holding the thing. Got some pics of me with it and the colonial marine who sported it. Now waiting for my NERF M41A Pulse Blaster to arrive any time now!
I bought one of the original Hollywood Collectiibles Group PRs (From Prop Store Of London lol) with metal, moving parts, metal shroud, metal extendable stock, moving grenade launcher. Not the current all resin version.
I've acquired a deactivated Thompson and Remington, all the parts still move. I'm trying to get a local engineering firm to replicate the rest of the resin parts, but in metal form. I'll have to figure out how to attach it all and fit it under the metal HCG shroud.
Game over man! Game over!
just finished modding and painting my Nerf pulse rifle. so Iconic.
Woooo It’s Gooood Thank You ❤️
There is a company building some live fire semi auto Pulse rifles in the US. I dont think they have hit the market yet but there are some videos of them doing test fires.
My favourite weapon of all time!!! 💙💙💙
I had a chance to hold one of the Alien 3 pulse rifles around 1998 at a touring props show, might even have been this one.
Game over man was the system of military X / I myself on the other handsZ Let’s Rock!!!
A Thompson and a spas 12 combo. Pretty bad ass
Not like there arent a dozen or more rifle/shotgun combos?
@@victoriaregina8344 so it's not bad ass? Also I have NEVER seen a sub machine gun with an undermounted shotgun. Also you don't see the SPAS in the master key form like this. So yes it is
Er, no? There are triple barreled rifle shotgun combos?
@@victoriaregina8344 and that means this can't be cool?
@@vannlo355 cool does not equal usefulness, the lancer is goddamn cool but show me any working military issue chainsaw bayonet?
How cool! I had no idea that it was a Thompson sub machine gun.
I can hear the sound of this gun just staring at it
omg... my childhood just flashed before my eye's
This is what started it all for me, I would love to own a prop 😅
Excellent trigger discipline Adam.
I was working in the West End of London when Aliens was released. They parked the APC in Leicester Square!
I remember this. I saw it parked outside!
Adam Savage , excellent finger discipline, how to tell your a gun guy without saying your a gun guy
Trigger discipline on a pulse rifle is very important. Good job Adam.
Started as a legal firearm so... safety dictates assume it's loaded even if it's a decommissioned prop. Funny he has trigger discipline but still muzzle sweeping
My favorite prop yet ❤️
Enterprise-C in the background, nice.
I would love to meet Adam, and work on something with him
My Nerf/Hasbro Pulse Rifle arrives today!! 🥰
Sick
Great video Adam!!! Love the videos and I am of the belief that the original pulse rifle was painted brown bess because they knew the color palette of the film would make it look more olive drab colored but thats just my theory! Anyways, love the videos, you are such a huge inspiration to me because I hope to be fortunate enough to be a prop worker similarly to you one day!
My god!! TOUR THE WHOLE SHOP!
I'll take the real deal with the counter as seen on yourube. Now if the guy would actually put it into production.
I ordered 2 Nerf PULSE RIFLES last year. They will be shipped this Month coming.
Man you've got the coolest job Adam. So jealous.
Regards Rikki
I would love to own that Billy Zane Phantom costume.
Wooo! Adam, remembering his firearm training! Trigger safety like it's instinct.
2:25 Uhmmm... nope?! 🤨
I love how Adam treats it like a real gun. Good trigger discipline.
2:25 Uhmmm... nope?! 🤨
@@Ricardo-cl3vs I must have missed that, might have looked away for a moment on my other screen and missed it :)
What's the story of the Enterprise-C in the background?
With the exception of the dropship scenes at the end Aliens still holds it own. Part of that is Cameron's attention to detail. I mean check out the gear from Aliens compared to Ridley Scotts newer movies.
After the filming of Waterworld in Kona Hawaii my brother in law's dad who worked on the production crew ended up with these molds that were used to create futuristic Mac10 replicas for the film I was amazed after painting they would look so real
