Playing a cajon works better than birth control! No but in all seriousness our band just got one for small gigs and cant wait to try it out. Love your setup, looks nice and easy for travel!
Nice! I just bought the Pearl Short Fuse 10x4.5" snare. I have the Schlagwerk pedal, Schlagwerk cajon and a hi-hat. Usually using the hi-hat just with my foot only, and a shaker in one hand.
Hi, Dan. Nice video! I think you´re using the Meinl pedal. I have one too, but haven´t been able to use it for more than five minutes without serious disadjustments and clearances... Have you had some problems of this type. I mean, the piece attached by a single screw to the axis (right foot), gets loose very easily, no matter how tight you fix the screw, making the cable tensionless. I´m getting crazy. And I don´t know if its a problem of design or a problem with my pedal. I can´t find info on the internet about this. Meinl provides no user manual, or setup videos. Thanks.
I have the Sonor 10" jungle snare. By itself, it sounds very thin, but in a rock band context (I have tried it with the cajon, a hi-hat and a cheap set of roto-toms) it´s nice, cheap and easy to transport.
I had the Meinl cable cajon pedal, too. I used it for 1 and 1/2 gigs before the cable became sluggish then snapped. I emailed Meinl customer service and they were super helpful...in that they never responded and made it an easy decision to never purchase another Meinl product again. I hope you've been able to sort out the issue with your pedal, but be ready for that cable to give out if it hasn't already. It's far too thin for the type of tension it has to contend with during regular playing.
I'm using a 10" timbale, the snare in the background is a 12" tama. (I use the tama snare with a small cloth inside with the cajon kit now for acoustic gigs, it sounds great..... Will do another video).

😂😂 good luck with it. I’m sure you’ll have a lot of fun and will sound great
Unless you're really good with your hands.

Show !
Hey Dan, where did you get the hi hat and snare combo stand? Can't seem to find them anywhere. Thx!
Jobey McGinty hi Jobey , it's a standard hi hat stand with a standard Tom mounting bracket
Thanks, okay I can see that now, I didn't realize it was a timbale so it had the ability to be mounted that way. Great!
Party On!
Hey Dan, what snare is that and what size?

Hey! What for a kind of snare is this?
Florian Müller hi It's a 10" timbale
Good...
🤔👍🇧🇷
No me convence, es mejor un bombo de 18" y un redoblante pequeño de madera y los palillos de brocha. Sigue siendo acústico.
