AeonAir Reacts To WINNING BEST YOUTUBER on The Geometry Dash 2022 Awards!

- After winning best streamer in 2021, I was not expecting to be nominated for best youtuber in 2022, let alone win. I was up against tride, ericvanwilderman, and wulzy, 3 of the best quality GD content on the website. I was proud of getting nominated whatsoever, so this was an emotional win for me in all honesty. Firstly about the awards! I think these were mostly non surprising. There were a lot of landslide wins this year, simply because each category had 1 super hyped up level. I can't say Im disappointed in the results, because a lot of my favorite levels did really well!
anyway, I go into depths in the video itself, but I have been super hard on myself ever since roughly July of this year, thinking I'm not doing good anymore, people are losing interest in my channel, and I will have to quit youtube earlier than I have planned in my head for a long time now, because I simply cant sustain myself anymore. While obviously that's mostly my brain fear mongering over a couple months of lower growth, which is what the brain feeds on. Negativity is the favorite food of the brain. Me beating myself up over these things have been really hard on me, and it has admittedly been super mentally draining on me. As a result I have completely stopped looking at my comments, numbers, growth, and just put it on the side, and only really try to focus on having fun making videos, which was always my passion. While I absolutely love making videos and streaming, sadly, I am a person who is very easily emotionally affected by things, which is a TERRIBLE trait to have when you do youtube for a living lol. Circling back however to this, I went into the awards expecting to lose, not because I deep down don't believe in my content - in fact, I'm super proud of my own content, and really like what I make. The expectation to lose simply boils down to my head thinking I have fully fallen off, and people have lost interest in what I do, because of a streak of really poor growth, despite getting the same amount of total views per month, as I have been getting for years now. In my own head, I had said I would be happy getting 10% of the votes, because I genuinely didn't think I would get any more. I'm speechless about winning, and I honestly don't know what I have done to deserve it. Thank you so so so much for the support. This was a much needed confidence boost to end the year, because of how tough the last few months have been. I truly appreciate you all. Much love

You may not think you deserve the win, but we do. You have done nothing but upload quality content DAILY! THAT’S INSANE! Don't be too hard on yourself. From talking to you you seem like such a hard working and genuine person. I think more people have self doubts of their own like this than you might think. Life is hard and scary and complicated.
You've been a light to so many people with just being genuine, and don't forget that. You're honesty one of the few people left in this community that is just laid back and comforting in the way that you are. I hope you're able to find a spark again with whatever you decide to do in the future, but I think these awards prove that you really do still matter to this community.

You very clearly love what you're doing and it's something we've always noticed as viewers. Your content is funny, original, engaging and your personality is appealing. You might know what I'm going to say here, but I can, without a shadow of a doubt, say that you are the best content creator 2022 has ever seen. Never have I ever had this much watchtime on a GD youtuber before. You absolutely deserve to be the winner of that award. Of course that doesn't mean I'm going to discredit the other creators, but I still prefer you as a GD youtuber/streamer and I wholeheardetly mean this.

Look, you probably know that I've been in this community for a LOOONG time, but the truth is that I don't engage with GD content much anymore. You're pretty much the only GD UA-camr I actually watch these days and I think that's because you have this genuineness about you that reminds me of the people I was friends with in high school. Putting hard level completions and consistent upload schedules and all that aside, you just seem like a cool dude that's fun to be around and I think that's what keeps a lot of people watching, including myself.

15:41 Here's what I think after watching your content so long now. Other GD youtubers have their own big series and projects that everyone knows them for, npesta has extreme demon roulette, EVW has the recent tab and impossible or not, etc. But you upload often, and your videos are always good. You may not have that one big series that everyone knows you for, but when we see an aeonair upload we all know it's gonna be good.
I've been dealing with some stuff lately and also haven't been as interested in the gd awards stuff compared to when they first started, but just know my pick for best youtuber would have been a very tough decision between you and eric

Imma be completely honest, the reason I think a lot of people (including myself) voted for you is because you you're style of content is both so consistent, yet somehow feels fresh every time you upload. You also haven't changed much over the years, which I find really comforting, like going from a small Norwegian fella trying to hit 500 demons to the massive influence you are today hasn't changed you for the worse in any shape. You 100% deserved that win, and the way you talked about when Eric quits was how I (and probably many others) felt back in 2018 when you quit and when you inevitably quit again will be an incredibly sad day for the GD community. You really do deserve it aeon. In my opinion you have made the most enjoyable videos this year and your videos where the only ones that motivated me to get better I went from having quit with my hardest being an easy hard demon to beating gumshot in 3.3k attempts! I'm of course not saying the others didn't also do amazing, but the people i enjoyed watching the most this year where you and then doggie. Every single video I clicked I didn't feel like skipping any part except if I didn't have time. Evw is ofc also a legend wulzy's content is fantastic and I should watch more tride. i will admit i was very surprised when i saw the results on best youtuber but then i thought about it and i really do think you deserve it. your content is high quality, you upload pretty much every day, you are really good at the game, you do a variety of content such as your controversial levels video versus your 'is that a gd reference' video. this community really appreciates you and the content you put out for us to have a few laughs and be entertained. keep posting bangers aeon!
